So what question would you have asked on a Topical Comedy Show?

The story of the week was ignored by HIGNFY and trivialised by Radio 4’s News Quiz. So what could have been asked?

I’m thinking the odd one out round could have had pictures of the Pope in church, a bear in the woods, a woman and equal pay. Which one isn’t real?

They could have had fun with the best reverse ferret award, and played the missing words round with politician’s speeches.

But if the BBC can’t find any jokes, I’m sure FWR can.

Interesting that both Ian Hislop and Jo Brand referred to death threats received by those who spoke out. Shame they did not say from where the death threats came. Or may be they did, and it was edited. Has Private Eye covered the SC ruling?

I thought Ian Hislop was joking about the segment that was cut. It was a way to cover it this week.

It did come over that even they feel it’s not a topic that can be discussed without a backlash.

I wondered that too? I got the impression Ian Hislop was pretty pissed off though. He named the person who cut it!

I think the fact that the Scottish Government spent probably millions on this, refusing to meet with women’s groups and seriously listen to their opinions and concerns, while funding organisations that ultimately gave them wrong advice is ripe for satire. And the backsliding of many politicians who are now saying they always agreed with this viewpoint when there are video clips to show they didn’t.

As for what question to ask, I would say ‘What blindingly obvious question should the Supreme Court be asked next week?’

Where in Lord Hodge's considered summation was there an invitation to satirise?

Is the Last Leg still on? They have always been particularly poor on this as well. Will be interesting to see how they handle it. Adam Hills had to apologise earlier in this series for saying sex isn’t determined until an embryo is 6 weeks……

I stopped watching the Last Leg because of their attitudes around this subject.

They're willing to lift up any group of people, other than women.
