used the term 'catastrophising', which describes very accurately the TRA 'literal violence' 'genocide' language, and now there's all this catastrophising about the SC ruling as if trans people were being deprived of the vote, or picked up off the street and deported to Van Diemen's land, or El Salvador.

Like User37482, I associate it with narcissism and gaslighting in personal relationships - always keeping the temperature hot and the tension high, acting as if everything is on a knife-edge all the time, keeping you off-balance and vigilant..

As an abusive technique, it's very effective, and it's working for the TRAs - their hyperbole is attracting a lot of attention and a lot of support on SM.

They really are narcissistic as a movement. I think this threatens a privilege many TRA’s have had. The fact that people are supposed to be extra nice and accommodating towards them, even if it’s harmful to themselves (bit like being forced to hug your pervy uncle to avoid being impolite). The fact that they are fighting for the “rights” of a minority group so they got to do a bit of moral licensing and be absolutely vile to anyone who disagreed with them. It was basically a free pass to behave in an awful way, to harass and intimidate women with impunity (including by weaponising the police). They’ve lost a lot I think (if thats what you are into ofcourse). Many of them actively seek out opportunities to violate women and have done so whilst others have patted them on the back and told them they are the actual victim, they must have really enjoyed that. I think others just enjoy the victim status are are so porn addled that they have lost touch with themselves completely outside of their fetishes.

I don’t doubt there are perfectly harmless decent transexuals out there who would be horrified at that behaviour but these days I think they are every much in the minority.

Anyhoo, it’s not my problem to fix things for men, if they want to show women their willy they should expect a jail sentence for it, not a woman of the year award. You can wear what you want and call yourself what you want, you just have to stay out of womens spaces like the other men. I truly hope this is the death of “cis” as well.

These people wish they were in America, where laws mean what politicised judges feel best fits their own political views, and not in the UK, where laws mean what Parliament intended them to mean.
