Why would someone's perception of their own relationship to gender stereotypes have any relevance to the wider world?

No point in wasting my time arguing with people so full of hate who spend their days bullying minorities. This is why people say you lot are like Trump supporters.

For a lot of women being a feminist is really just part of identifying as a good person, they think being on the left politically is about being a good person, and that feminism is part of being on the left. What can you expect from people who think those on the right actually intend to be evil? With that level of political sophistication you can't expect much.

Especially for the younger ones, they learned little about questioning all narrative in school. What they learned is that people who don't accept political progressivism are bigots and that is the worst possible thing, except for being Not Nice.

And for many of these people, their model now is identity politics, and TWAW is kind of the highest expression of identity politics. Their feminism is in the form of id politics too.

I've unfriended/blocked 1 friend from childhood, and an in law through marriage due to posts on their SM today/ yesterday. I just cannot agree with their TWAW stance.

I have only had one old friend post about the need to support trans because of the ruling. I guess they have just gone along with “be kind” and never realised that Stonewall law was not real law. I’m hoping it’ll calm down after the initial surprise.

This is spot on, it’s competitive behaviour in the hope that the men will pick them over women who can think for themselves and have opinions.

I always think the women who pander to men are going to pander to them whether they’re in a dress or slacks. The pick-me-est of pick-mes.

If you cheerlead for something that is inherently harmful to women then you are not a feminist. If you believe people can change sex then you are not a feminist.

In my experience the women who spout TWAW know damn well that’s not true, but they don’t actually like women that much, so anything that curries favour with men against other women is a win for them. This isn’t a new phenomenon, there were plenty of women who actively campaigned against the suffrage movement.

The internalised misogyny remains strong. As does the need to signal one’s virtue.

So tiresome but they’re best left to it, poor things.

That's exactly what the ruling will do. Everything will be mixed gender because nobody will want have to decide who is and isn't trans or risk being sued for letting in the wrong person. Well done everyone!

I think it’s interesting which of my friends and acquaintances HAVEN’T posted TWAW content. I think it’s because they privately disagree but for whatever reason don’t feel they can say so online.

I had stepped off social media and particularly anything around the trans subject. Tentatively put a toe back in today and was immediately reunited with the utter vitriol from the TWAW crowd.

I have had a couple of “this is interesting” texts from friends, which I think is how a lot of women are trying to very subtly say they’re GC, when they wouldn’t even have dared to say it subtly before!

I’ve already seen some extraordinary mental contortions and bad faith interpretations of the judgement. I guess the DEI industry is panicking that the grift is up

I have just put the ITV news on and switched it straight off again. Lying is apparently fine and it is perfectly ok to spread misinformation.

I'm also seeing a number of women of whom I might have expected better rushing to be seen to massage the wounded feelings of thwarted men on social media. It's a little irritating, but, as they say on clickbait posts, I'll wait.
