I'm 15 minutes in and honestly, it's truly batshit. She's so out of her depth, and waffling total shite like her life depends on it. In an extended waffle about orphans, she's just said 'you can't argue with biology' - to quote JKR, my irony meter just blew up 🤦🏻‍♂️

Considering she then did some performative reacting at KK's question which actually was not worded in any judgement at all about how some countries of the world successfully invaded other countries. It really was an enlightening interview.

But I doubt it was in the way she wanted it to be. Still, she was playing to her own audience.

I am amazed that they didn't correct her. Maybe they were in too much shock and incredulity.

The bit when Konstantin equated her bus driving clowns to people walking around naked and she got in a strop was the funniest thing I’ve heard in ages.

She reminds me of Nicola Murray (fictional govt minister) in The Thick of It in the radio interview - the similarity in the way she constantly points out his tone and won’t let it go, but tries to pretend she’s joking when she’s not is uncanny.

It’s such an incredibly unfortunate analogy - to use clowns vs everyday people as an analogy for trans vs non-trans people - that it did cross my mind that she might be trolling.

Either that or it was a genuinely subconscious association and she just has a lot of internalised transphobia…

We need to apply the Stock test and ask if she is perhaps just a bit thick.

My fave bit so far (of the Triggernometry episode) is when she says they just aren’t coping because she’s presenting arguments they’ve never heard before, right after waffling her way through every tired nonsense argument or whataboutery you’ve heard “progressives” say for ten years.

I am at 32.30 and she has dropped into the condescension hole. Does she actually think she is an intellectual?

Kisin asks her position on whether a man can become a woman, and her response is that you'd be surprised to find a clown driving your bus.

That was absolutely hilarious, to be honest. I burst out laughing on the bus!

I am gonna watch it now just to see the part about bus driver clowns!!

I got as far as the bus driver clowns and gave up. Pointless self indulgent whiffle.

I watched the first half hour and gave up. I really struggled with making much sense of what she was trying to say. She was all over the place, round the houses and back again, rambling on without getting to any particular point - no wonder it was 2.5 hours long.

I can’t believe they’ve released it at nearly 2.5 hours long! Even their most genuinely knowledgeable guests don’t get much more than an hour from what I’ve seen, and this is waffle so far.

Them being overly smug about what an idiot she is and thinking they’ve given her role to hang herself by going to this length is a bit indulgent all round. Not sure I’ll get all the way through.

But as pp have said, it’s beyond moronic (word of the week) to write a book calling for difficult conversations and then show yourself incapable of having them.

I’m working my way through it - it’s equal measures of amusingly batshit and painful. And it reminds me why I dont listen to her podcast.

Trans people aren't being 'caricatured as threatening' any more than men are 'caricatured as threatening' by the need for single sex spaces.

Trans people come in all varieties, just like everyone else, and some of them aren't very nice - like all the ones carrying violent signs while protesting a judgement of the highest court in the land.

My husband is lovely (and has long hair), but he doesn't insist on using the ladies.
