Biological sex erased from official data on health, crime and education

I started a new thread as I hadn’t seen this one.

The item in Radio 4 today was very good. ‘Statistics are not a place for self expression.’

"Sex at birth" has two unneeded words. Just "sex" will do. You are the same sex before birth, at birth and after birth. No need to qualify.

To the surprise of no-one Labour are refusing to commit to implementing the recommendations. Make life harder for people with disabilities? Have at it! Consider making people who claim to be trans possibly a little sad?

It found that guidance notes for officers on the computer system state that it is “quite possible” that an arrested person who has acquired a GRC without informing the police “could be released or otherwise dealt with before any link to their previous offending history is known (through confirmation by fingerprints)”.
“This is also likely to be true of those who self-declare a different sex and name,” the guidance states.

This is so refreshing. My DH has been very much of the #bekind mindset but has been gradually peaking. He is very keen on stats and I think this may have made the last scales fall from his eyes so 🙏🏼 Dr Sullivan.

Oh my word. Worth reading the recommendations in the report. They pull no punches. What an amazing, forthright piece of work that I genuinely think will Change Things.

Yes. I'm quietly hoping that Streeting - a gay man who's seen the attempts to obliterate same sex attraction in favour of gender woowoo - will have the confidence and understanding to cut off the funding that's been enabled the toxic luxury belief doing so much harm to society and is frankly breaking the NHS.

For clarity, the term ‘sex’ when used in this report without any qualifier simply means sex, in other words biological sex, which can also be termed natal sex or sex at birth.

Clarity! No 'sex assigned at birth'! This alone makes me happy.

So pleased this has finally been published. Haven't yet read the full review, but very pleased to read:

It is understood that the review has been circulated to all government departments by Peter Kyle, the technology secretary, with an acknowledgment that accurate data collection is essential. (From the Times article.)

Hope it makes a difference. I do have hopes of Wes actually acting to make the change to bio sex recording happen in healthcare at least.

Well done to Professor Sullivan, and thanks for sharing this article. I completely agree with Maya Forstater that “administrative integrity” in collecting data in these key areas should be restored asap.

Sadly unsurprised by the findings but very pleased to see that this review has been undertaken. I’ve been making my small contribution by challenging the questions in our staff surveys when they have been similarly misleading.

How the fuck have we got to a point where just this in itself isn't a front page scandal??! Every time you think it can't get worse, it does.

They won't stop. This is destroying society.

This is also excellent as an observation.

And that's so true. Until some of the toxic medics, politicians and leaders of institutions who are signed up (and in the pay of) the drug companies & the queer theory lobbyists, are dragged in front of the courts and made to pay for their actions in removing safeguarding, decriminalising sexual offences like indecent exposure etc and mangling factual data in favour of fantasy luxury beliefs (like the ONS), nothing will change.

We now need accountability. Sadly not sure that this government has enough of an interest in safeguarding children or ensuring women's rights if the offers of freebies from the Stonewall ally are available. 🙄

I just read this! What gp thought it was normal to trans a baby!!

In one case a paediatrician said that a child had been brought up in the preferred gender of the mother, which was different to their birth-assigned gender. “She [the mother] had gone to the GP and requested a change of gender/NHS number when the baby was a few weeks old and the GP had complied. Children’s social care did not perceive this as a child protection issue,” the doctor reported.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

What an absolute mess, and all the people and institutions that have cheered this on for years despite the warnings should be ashamed of themselves.
