Reading between the lines the government means to do nothing about it.

Government speak for 'we note the research and don't think it matters so we are not going to do anything'.

The end of that BBC article amused me:

It was just on the BBC news channel, about 12.45. I missed the lunchtime news so not sure if it was on there. This is great to see though, mainstreaming the things we’ve all been trying to get someone in power to take seriously!

Just to add, I don't know re the GRC part, but non-disclosure of a previous name to an employer is a massive safeguarding fail in itself.

Your demographic record held with your NHS number has gender, not sex. Madness.

I agree. This is so worrying re DBS:

'The sensitive applications route gives transgender applicants the choice not to have any gender or name information disclosed on their DBS certificate, that could reveal their previous gender identity.'

The loophole here is huge. Safeguarding children should never be sacrificed for adults feelings.

I hope Prof Sullivan doesn’t suffer the abuse and attempts at discreditation that Hilary Cass did. But I’m fairly certain there will be such attempts.
