Elon Musk's trans daughter outs him for sex-selective IVF ie he wants sons

Some of the wording in the article are not exactly FWR, but am posting more because (and it may not be true) the 15 (?) children he now has are because women have willing acting as "hosts" for IVF created babies. (Not surprised he would only want sons.)

In a post on Threads on Monday, Wilson — who is estranged from her father and frequently calls him out on social media — accused Musk of viewing her as “going against the product that was sold” when she came out as trans.

“My assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for. So when I was feminine as a child and then turned out to be transgender, I was going against the product that was sold. That expectation of masculinity that I had to rebel against all my life was a monetary transaction. A monetary transaction. A MONETARY TRANSACTION.”

Musk has made headlines over the years for his controversial approach to fatherhood, including his decision to have 14 children in large part because he is concerned with population decline, according to Walter Isaacson’s biography Elon Musk.

Now, Wilson is suggesting that Musk is focused on having boys through IVF. Out of his 14 children, he only has two cisgender daughters and one trans daughter, the rest are boys.

“How the f—k is this legal,” Wilson commented on her own post.

I can see ‘designer babies’ would have a particular appeal to Silicon Valley tech types. Is that what ‘trans humanism’ is about? Selecting an embryo is not really designer babies though. The Chinese have got into that with gene editing though not sure if human babies have been born yet. It is all scary stuff.

Same here - great aunt had 10 sons and 1 daughter. Daughter was the youngest.

This is true.

My elder brother was the first boy in my Dad’s line to have a sister in 126 years.

All natural methods, too!

But with Musk I have no doubt it was technology & deliberate choice.

I think Elon (and Trump) see themselves as the new Arian race and want to spread their (superior) seed amongst other Arian women. Neither of them have mixed race offspring.

I think by eroding empathy, they can justify shutting down USAID and thereby allow disease to spread rapidly in 3rd world countries and decimate the local population. This in turn allows them easier access to any valuable mines in those regions, once the population has been weakened. Similar to the conquistadors in South America, the natives were mostly killed by the diseases they were exposed to and not by fighting. Once the natives are eradicated, forests can regrow in the sparshly populated low value areas and this helps to combat global warming.

I think they want to reduce 3rd world populations, those that rely on aid. Musk has already described people as ants living in ant hills. He sees certain people as valueless, which is very, very dangerous.

With most of the children and their mothers suffering because of it.

What's your point?

‘Traditional’ has a pretty broad scope

Powerful men impregnating loads of women and leaving illegitimate offspring across the countryside has been traditional across many periods of history and place.

I thought he and Trump were all for preserving and promoting the ‘traditional’ family and traditional family values, yet both happily have lots of children with multiple women 🙄

Loads of women are attracted to men the rest of us are repelled by. I certainly don’t find it difficult to believe that there are women attracted to Elon and would be even if he wasn’t incredibly wealthy and powerful. His wealth and power would be powerful draws for many women.

IwantToRetire · 15/03/2025 20:36

When I started the thread, as I later mentioned, I in fact knew very little about Musk, and just thought he was a bit like Bill Gates*, a techy guy who maybe wasn't that great in the real world.

But some of the later posts on here, and I trust they are accurate talk about him being autistic.

Now I am aware this is a difficult area to talk about, but if to but it crudely people who are autistic interact and see the world differently from those who are not, what are the implications for society as a whole if they are the decision makers.

This isn't to in anyway demonise someone who is autistic, but if what seems to them is an obvious solution, proposal, is not how others see things, how does this work.

This is of course no different from having mainly men take decisions about life, whether in public or in private which more often than not ignores women's perspective, experience of live.

And if any part of the sex selection, IVF story is true, does this mean women think the same or that women somehow feel they should facilitate this.

And by the way I too cannot believe how anyone would think he was attractive, or even if he was "handsome" his behaviour is so weird why would any rational woman have anything to do with him. Or are we still in society in the position that women are brainwashed into thinking they should adjust their view of the world to accommodate some male who thinks he is the future of the universe (a reference to his space obsession). Or maybe he is just an over grown school boy who is excited by SF and think women exist to produce babies.

(* My knowledge of Bill Gates is from a film so may not be in any way accurate)

Empathy as weakness, eh? There are Neanderthal graves, of people with disabilities and healed injuries, which would have been limiting; their families cared for them. It's basic humanity.

Is he a psychopath?

This is awful. Isn't it the equivalent of calling red state voters "red necks", though?

I agree. Even on this thread we've had Republican base described as "hillbillies," just another way of saying, "person vacant of human intelligence."

I am slightly less judgemental about childless women with total infertility due to say, hysterectomy using friends or family as surrogate mothers (but even then I believe it’s traumatic for the baby and too big a physical risk to ask of a loved one. Plus there are many instances of sisters being coerced into surrogacy or falling out afterwards due to the emotional complications/jealousy of your sister/best friend being your child’s birth mother).

I actually think this is at least as bad as being a paid surrogate. I don’t think it can ever be altruistic; it is always coercive and, even more so than paid surrogacy, fails to recognise the mother as a person in her own right. Paid does at least give some value to her role - even though that itself means it is never a ‘free choice’ either (and the value far below the actual risk she is exposed to). In both cases the mother and the child are turned into a commodities. In both cases the baby is denied its mother.

I probably am not thoroughly consistent in my concerns but it’s about waste, privilege and entitlement.

We can’t always have what we want. We should be better at managing that, finding other outlets and comforts. I don’t know the statistics, but while there are couples fortunate to be satisfied with a baby resulting from a round of ivf, there are others living in penury broken hearted after multiple failures. Those with unlimited resources end up with at least one baby by one means or another. Meanwhile elsewhere people die early or suffer longer because the medical care they need is unaffordable.

I don’t agree we have the right to a child. There should be some things money can’t buy. We should be better at managing disappointment.

I actually know 3 women who are pregnant by IVF. None of them have ‘paid’ for their IVF. All of them managed to conceive 1st time. One of them carries a gene that can be screened for so they have been able to select an embryo that does not have that gene.

We don’t know if Musk used sex selection, there is just speculation. He also did not use surrogates - posters are likening his use if women to surrogates but it is not the same thing, But feel free to start a thread on sex selection or surrogacy - I am happy to say I am firmly against both (except where sex selection for a narrow range of catastrophic sex-specific genetic conditions). What posters aren’t doing is engaging with wild speculation.

I believe some of the children were carried by surrogate mothers but at the behest of the female commissioning parent (egg producer? 😬) rather than Musk eg at least one of Grime’s children was born this way (after they had split as a couple) as were Amber Heard’s two, but Musk had no say over what happened to his & Heard’s frozen embryos as he had applied to have them destroyed when they broke up and she went to court to be able to use them.

I am anti surrogacy in all situations and I certainly have not even the slightest compassion for anyone who a) pays a less well off woman to do it b) who is physically capable of pregnancy and c) already has at least one child.

Musk can act like an utter dickhead but there is no evidence he himself is keen on surrogacy, in fact I’d say it seems he has a strong preference for women who are willing to act like brood mares, birthing the babies themselves and raising them alone/with nannies with minimal input from him.

I think it’s hyperbolic to accuse Musk of being a Nazi but the Nazis loved stay at home mothers who breastfed their offspring, producing pro breast feeding propaganda, so if Musk were a Nazi, he’d probably prefer a brood mare that can lactate to a paid surrogate who is out of the maternity ward door as soon at the cheque is signed!

TooBigForMyBoots · 14/03/2025 00:16

We can’t always have what we want.

Elon Musk can. And that is not a good thing. It is actively damaging to his children, their mothers and the women whose bodies he bought to gestate the embryos he picked etc.

Uses woman’s bodies? He had relationships with all the women he got pregnant, didn’t he? It’s not like he lined them up to impregnate them then sent them on their way.

If he was just choosing boys he wouldn’t have 2 daughters surely?

No. Most of the women pregnant with his children were surrogates. He didn't impregnate them. He had the embryos he created inserted into them and nine months later collected a baby.

He had relationships with some of the women whose eggs he used.

Quite a lot of his pregnancies were through surrogates. Mostly using eggs donated by his partners but implanted in another woman. And sometimes at the same time/straight after those partners had had pregnancies the normal way. e.g. Grimes. And while Grimes was visiting her surrogate (pregnant with "her" baby) she ran into another woman also pregnant with Musks baby. So it literally is like lining women up and impregnating them. The surrogates presumable are well compensated and sent on their way.

I don't know if its true but apparently Grimes was able to negotiate having a girl (via surrogate) after giving him a boy. And he basically took ownership of the boy a lot more than the girl (see Grimes tweets about being seperated from the toddler, the custody battle, the fact its that child now a little older popping up in the Oval office/White house car sale etc).

What a disgusting thing to say about bereaved parents.

Empathy is a fundamental weakness of Western civilization,

BlueBatsAndOranges · 13/03/2025 16:00

TooBigForMyBoots · 13/03/2025 15:16

Exactly. The way he uses women's bodies to create his offspring is extreme. It's like he's trying to separate mother and child from the very beginning, starting with IVF, progressing with surrogates, eventually distancing the mother from the children post split.

I cant imagine how any woman would be physically attracted to Musk, but if it wasn't about money, what could any woman see in him.

Come on now, you may not like the man but he’s not bad looking and you underestimate how attractive a brilliant brain can be to a woman.
