I think males should be banned from female sport and anyone should be allowed to enter the male / open category. The US President has just signed an executive order saying this.

Females need their own sports for reasons of fairness, competitiveness and safety. I am glad that orders like this make it easier to talk about these issues without being called a biggot.

Everyone deserves fair opportunities, women and girls are under represented in sport, this can only help that get a little better.

Transgender sports people also clearly deserve opportunities to participate in sport and so trans women and men should be allowed to enter male / open categories or have their own categories if needed.

Wes Streetling sounds like the best hope at the moment, and he seems to be an ambitious chap. Not sure what he thinks of the EOs. As far as I've seen Labour have been very quiet on them (though to be fair, Trump's trade wars and Palestine 'plans' probably take centre stage).

Exactly! I was a Labour Party member for years, but I can't vote for them in good conscience while they allow men into female SSS and tell me humans can change sex.

I can't see myself ever voting Reform, but I'd love to vote for a left wing party that accepts biological reality (how the fuck did the bar get so low?!). Sadly the Communist Party of Britain has yet to stand in my constituency.

I applaud all the executive order on banning the chemical and surgical mutilation of children - don't you?

As many posters on Mumsnet have said in the past, transmen are more than welcome in female single sex spaces, what with being women and all.

Men, however they identify, are not. But you seem determined to give penis people whatever they like, regardless of the impact on female people.

Well, no. Because primarily trans sportspeople aren't just dressing as the opposite sex but are in the process of transitioning, if not already fully completed. So it's not a level playing field from any perspective really.

Trans women - are males. They complete in the male / open category

Luckily, whether he cares or doesn't, his signature's on the Executive Order document and that's all that matters to women who've been pushed aside by useless b#stards who couldn't get a look in previously in men's sports.

Olympic level female athletes wouldn't meet the criteria to compete even on just the England School Boys teams.

Not getting involved in this toxicity one way or another - but this is at least the 3rd AIBU you have started, all on the "trans issue" in less than 24 hours. Avoiding the feminism boards because they are so toxic, so now it's "leaking" into other areas. Do we really need more of this? Nobody is going to change their minds, and between the "trans rants" (on either side), the M&H rants, the benefits / disabled people rants, and the bloody ads / crappy working of the site, it's getting to be a place that is no longer welcoming of anyone at all.

I apologise for talking about the safety and dignity of women and girls on Mumsnet.

What, like when 203rd-ranked German Karsten Braasch beat Serena Williams and Venus Williams back-to-back at the 1998 Australian Open.

After the sisters said that they could beat any man outside the top 200. Even they recognised that 200 men could beat them, and as it turned out probably more could have done.

How would even the Williams sisters have ever won an open competition?

YANBU but in the wider world people are doubling down on their TWAW stance because the sense in this one decision is lost in the insanity of his others. To too many people it just looks like one more crazy Trumpism.

Is that true though? This feels more like "well I hate trump but he's got it right this time"
