Another local authority - Bracknell Forest Borough Council.

'My name is Sarah Holman and I believe single sex facilities are vital for women and that you can’t change sex. I believe I have been discriminated against for having these views.'

It's on crowdjustice.

It's on crowdjustice.

But was she "discriminated against" for the views per se, or was she harassing people non-stop over it and using hateful language etc? Is she a member of an anti-trans stalking community? The way one expresses their views matters.

Thanks for the update - I had missed this until now, but am happy to garden in support.

I am looking forward to the day when this is all unnecessary and organisations stop pretending humans can change sex.

Keep going Sarah. It's terrible you have to go through all this stress for basic human rights for women but it's where we are, unfortunately, and so important. Women's equal human rights can be lost so quickly as we can see from Afghanistan.

You've been treated so shoddily by the Council - if I was a council tax payer there I'd be so angry.

Sorry I missed this but will support the fundraising. What I don’t see is how the LA talks about toilets as being equivalent to lifts, then men of whatever gender should have no problem in single sex toilets for men. Best of luck .you have a great barrister. But women should not have to go through this. We must all complain, every time. Solidarity, sisters.

Hello, it’s Sarah Holman. I wanted to give an update on the case. I have received the rebuttal docs from Bracknell Forest Council and unsurprisingly they refute all the allegations. The justification of their action is 23 pages of frankly waffle in my opinion. I feel the case is a strong one.

There will be a wait now to get a preliminary hearing scheduled. Will update more once things get going. Thank you for discussing it on here I feel heartened when I read your support of women’s rights.

That’s a great article, thanks for posting it. The details of how she was treated are really terrible behaviour on the part of the Council’s HR and management staff.

Did the staff member who did occasionally arc in that direction move on to greater things and more authoritarian regimes?

In the Age of Substantial and Often Unexpected Moderation, iirc, that member actually indicated that moderators would consider acting against the mention of carrots, seeds, and gardening.

I'm always disappointed when people drag out the lift/your own bathroom examples. However, constant vigilance etc. because the success of the Denton playbook and the (ab) use of Lifton's 8 Criteria for Thought Reform has been remarkable and the pernicious impact will persist for a very long time..
