There is, unbelievably, a transwoman ( male person who says they are a woman) in Canadian prison for raping a baby.

He is not only being housed in a women’s prison, but one with a mother and baby unit joined to it.

Any government promoting this has lost all faculty of reason in my opinion.

This violent male rapist-of-a-baby inmate of a women’s prison, making the mothers there feel harassed and nervous when he looks at the children, attacked a woman so violently he broke her ribs because she called him a paedophile. The authorities of mad-land admonished her needless to say.

The issue is sometimes that people can't separate the different general categories of those identifying as trans women and I can see some of this to a point. Younger DS now in his early 20s has 3 people (friends) from his bog standard primary who have gone on to identify as trans. 1 girl and 2 boys.

Obviously I'm not claiming to be an expert here, but having been on the periphery of these children's lives since they were 4/5 years old, my observations are:

The girl is pretty surely an undiagnosed neuro divergent (both my DC are neuro divergent so not completely clueless as to the signs)

The two boys are most certainly gay. Both dressed as boys in primary and both played more with the girls but I think sexually confused and neither I would ever see as any type of risk even though both now presenting as women.

So, I'd say that mental health intervention would probably have been an appropriate call. That is a very different scenario to men posing as women for predatory purposes and also those who do it for sexual gratification.

So, if your experience of trans men is only those generally nice lads who don't want to cause any harm and are trying to live their best life and haven't had the mental health support then of course you are going to have a different view, especially if you are not prepared to consider that not all trans are like that just as not all men are a predatory threat. You can't tell which is which (well sometimes you can) which is why protection needs to be given from ALL men, including those that wouldn't harm a fly.

The real threat to trans people trying to live their best lives are actually still men. They are the ones that are using this for their advantage and "stirring up hate" and are also a general threat to the trans people themselves.

It's not really correct to lay the anti trans label and anti feeling at women's door, it's still all caused by men. Again, not all men....

She probably will say that, and she’d probably be right. But stonewall & al say anyone who says they are a woman is one. Regardless of when or why. So it’s apparently transphobic to point out that there seems to be a pattern where some men (particularly those who offend against women or children) decide they are trans just before going to men’s prison.

@CoalTit Yes it’s a cult and yes I agree that there are people who you know to be clever but who on this one single issue either play dumb or double down in their insistence that men can “be” women. They usually get angry or tell you how complex the issue is, once they inevitably hit a cul de sac in their attempt at reasoning.

It’s very depressing but I hope you can find even just one other person who hasn’t let themselves be brainwashed by the cult and who you can talk freely with. There are many of us!

Thanks for resurrecting this thread / this info. It’s always useful albeit shocking to be reminded that yes, there are men out there who “present as” women 🙄 in order to gain access to women’s spaces to harm girls and women.

Sympathy and solidarity, OP. You're dealing with people who have been very effectively brainwashed by a cult.
I'm amazed at how passionately people will argue for the ideology when they clearly know very little about it, but have been feed a line for years by authority figures, in which I include the mainstream media.
My mother and sister believe in the existence of human hermaphrodites, and a friend with a degree in international politics revealed the other day that she believed that a so-called sex-change operation actually changes a person's sex, and that it wouldn't be long before doctors can enable men to give birth.
I explained as gently as I could, but I think her ego was a little bruised, so we're staying away from the topic for a while. However, it made me see how the frequent use of terms such as "sex-change operation" and "transition" deceive and delude anyone who isn't paying attention.

This is absolutely sickening.

There used to be a very informative site called transcrimeuk.com . No ‘hate speech’ or libel or anything wrong. Simply lists of male criminals who claimed to be women, with brief details of their convictions.

The account has now been suspended. I won’t waste time wondering why.

Some honesty near the end of that article. Probably unintentional but interesting to see they likely wrote the article referring to him as a him but changed it to be all nice and affirming and womanly later.

Karen White was all over the news. Your friend could easily Google the incident rather than insisting that you're making it up.

It doesn't sound to me that they are very open to seeing what is going on around them.
