The Telegraph reporting on worrying data showing that young women who've been persuaded that they've been "born in the wrong body" and are on cross sex hormones are experiencing major problems from their use with 95 per cent developing pelvic floor dysfunction.

"Around 87 per cent of the participants had urinary symptoms such as incontinence, frequent toilet visits and bed-wetting, while 74 per cent had bowel issues including constipation or being unable to hold stools or wind in. Some 53 per cent suffered from sexual dysfunction".

And our sainted NHS have been contributing to this without conducting any research.

Trans men taking testosterone getting ‘postmenopausal’ problems aged 28’

Study found many had bladder and bowel symptoms they would expect to see in a woman after the menopause

Is there any evidence that all boys who show feminine traits before puberty grow up to be gay? Or is it just that more of them do than in the general population?

No. One of mine was so effeminate (hair clips, tutus, sparkles, Sylvanians, dolls) that we were slightly startled when he mentioned his first girlfriend as a teen.

He did quite strongly express a wish that he was a girl at age 3, and had a female alter ego. At 11 he again said he wished he was a girl, probably because he was bullied for not being a footballing boy. Luckily we must have been just before the main thrust of trans ideology, so he got to adulthood whole.

No, enough for his mother to decide he was a girl

I was replying to @Datun who said:

Given his parents considered him a girl, because he was such a feminine boy and that being gay is a strong indication that these children will be identified as trans, I think it's a pretty educated guess that he would've grown up to be a gay man.

At 3 or 4, we shouldn't assume anything about a child's future sexuality from their behaviour. How many posts have there been on here from parents saying that their child pretended to be a dog or cat or some other animal or inanimate object at that age? At 3 or 4 it's just imaginative play. It means nothing.

Yes I believe he was three or four and wanted to wear a tutu. That was enough apparently.

He had a massive fan base and would do public talks about being transgender.

The zeitgeist was such, that his mum grabbed it with both hands. And filmed absolutely everything about his transition.

i've just checked, it's now on season eight, and the last episode was last year.

So they're still cashing in.

The parents might be cashing in. But Jazz himself is in a very sad situation.

here are some 'highlights' from the show, which TLC thought fit to present as a life-affirming family show:

  1. Jazz's mother threatens on camera to sexually assult him with a plastic implement if he does not perform post-surgical dilation of his neovagina to her imposed schedule
  2. Jazz is blamed and mocked on camera for his 170lb weight gain, depression and binge eating disorder. These are presented as Jazz's fault, despite the fact that there are compelling anecdata that weight gain and depression are side effects of puberty blockers and long term oestrogen use
  3. Jazz admits on camera that he is anorgasmic and has never experienced any kind of sexual feeling or desire - he is now well into his 20s
  4. Jazz is forced on camera into performing a raunchy dance at a drag show despite having an emotional meltdown at the prospect
  5. Jazz is forced on camera by his sniggering family to discuss the intimate details of 'dates' he has been on with a range of strangers, which TLC have set up for him
  6. Jazz is forced to postpone his start date at university after an unspcified mental health crisis which certain comments made by his family on screen imply was so severe as to be potentially life threatening
  7. Jazz appears to have difficult with his joints, movement and balance - again, anecdata suggest this could be the result of testosterone suppression in puberty. He appears to have some difficulty walking.
  8. We see an underage Jazz forced to enter a room ALONE with a plastic surgeon who lasciviously looks between his legs and says he looks like a porn star. No parent enters the examining room with Jazz. The doctor closes the door.
  9. Jazz is filmed coming round after a gruelling 8 hour surgery to repair his severely damaged and infected neovagina. We see him screaming in pain.

Jazz is not well. He's a victim of abuse, imo. And it was all done for a TV show.

There is no evidence I have ever seen that this applies to kids transitioned by parents as preschoolers. This is a very different group than kids at 8 or 9 or 10 who seem to be struggling with gender identification. Preschoolers aren't struggling at all, they are there because of the parents.

Lots and lots of little boys will play with dolls or wear a princess dress and a tiara and it does not mean that they grow up to be gay or even effeminate.

This idea that you can pin down a kids likely sexuality at 3 is part of the problem here.

Everything that happens after a kid like Jazz is socially transitioned by the parents is a reflection of the social transition. Mainly dating boys as a supposed girl with no sexual development, especially when the parents seem to have been homophobic, isn't a result of the child being "really" gay.

So true and so disturbing. What the hell are these so called medical professionals and psychologists doing allowing this to happen. Parents like this should be bluntly told to let your kid just be instead of filling their heads with nonsense.

EdithStourton · 29/05/2024 10:47

@Estrangedfromadultchild I'm so sorry, that is awful.

So long as you know where they live, I'd sent the occasional card (or text/email if you have those details).

Is there a mutual friend or other family member that they're in touch with, so that you can at least know that they are okay?

I honestly think young adults have no idea how much they hurt their parents when they do things like this. The realisation of your parents' vulnerability only really comes as you mature yourself, IME.

The evidence is that a very high percentage of children who present at gender clinics from a very young age are (or end up being) same sex attracted. So there is good reason to think JJ would have been gay if JJ had been allowed to mature sexually.

That's awful Estrangedfromadultchild, I'm so sorry. In your position I would keep sending cards occasionally, saying you're there for them if they ever want to talk or need your help - not all the time but a couple of times a year maybe. It's OK to not want to go along with something that makes no sense and instinctively feels wrong to you – you have feelings too.

Also, while I know they won't welcome it now, I do think it can be a lifeline for people who realise being trans or having the surgery hasn't solved all their problems, if they start to question the whole thing. They know there's someone in their life who is outside the ideology so if they need to reach out they know that person is there and will support them or be a listening ear. The problem with the "glitter family" is that in many cases it isn't unconditional - it depends on staying within the ideology and not questioning it. Lots of detransitioners have talked about how they were unable to raise how they felt in their transactivist circles. So being there for if your child has a change of mind is important, as thankless as it feels. Flowers

Estrangedfromadultchild · 29/05/2024 10:20

I tried to be supportive of my child when they went non binary at university. Several years later they have cut me off completely on social media and had a mastectomy. I hurt so much not being able to see them. I want to know they are OK. Want to have them as part of the family. Want to send them cards, visit them etc. They have a glitter family now. I struggled with pronouns and buying into the ideology, but I tried hard to keep a relationship with them. I gave birth to them and want to send a birthday card but think it will go straight into the bin. Should I still send cards or respect their wish to go NC? They showed no sign of anything out of the ordinary as a child.

It is remarkable how parallels can be drawn between the two in how they’ve been treated by parents. And how the people who should be protecting them have built livelihoods around them.

Bottom surgery meaning removal of testicles, i.e. castration, and inversion of penis to make an open wound labelled a neovagina, the one that needs daily dilation or it will heal up, as the body naturally attempts to do with all wounds?

All because of a sparkly, rainbow bathing costume.

I don't know if there's been an actual study, I should imagine that might be quite difficult. But I do know the Tavistock had a reason to believe that the children they were dealing with were mostly gay. And since it involved the use of puberty blockers, I'm assuming they were prepubescent.

They said they didn't think there will be any gay youth left at this rate.

Jazz's mother and father should literally be done for child abuse. Jazz is so damaged. He is a cautionary tale for MtF childhood transition just as poor Ellen Page is a cautionary tale for adult lesbians being seduced into transitioning instead of dealing with their trauma.

Agree. Terrible damaging parenting. That child was exploited and used. The tv shows and publicity are also said to have contributed to the explosion in young children being pushed into transitioning socially and medically.

Did Jazz’ mother transition him as a toddler? I thought it was as a tween? But I could be wrong there.

or are you thinking of Jackie Green? Thinking on that, didn’t both mothers laugh at their sons immature penises not being developed enough for inversion?

Horrific in both cases.

Jazz was socially transitioned before he was old enough to even understand his own sexed body. He was 3. Puberty blockers at 10. Bottom surgery as a minor.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/05/2024 07:41

Wikipedia says Jazz was socially transitioned at the age of four.

Pretty much all that happened to poor Jazz Jennings. But at least his narcisstic mother got the attention she so craved. He could have been living as a thriving young gay man now. I remember seeing a video where she described bullying him into extremely painful daily dilation of his new vagina surgical wound, threatening she would do it to him if he refused. Barbaric child abuse.

Jazz's mother and father should literally be done for child abuse. Jazz is so damaged. He is a cautionary tale for MtF childhood transition just as poor Ellen Page is a cautionary tale for adult lesbians being seduced into transitioning instead of dealing with their trauma.
