They also have a lending library, based as far as I can tell in BIshopbriggs Police station, that includes 'Whipping girl' by Julia Serrano and books by Shon Faye, Juno Dawson, Susan Stryker.

The older guide to 'coming out' that Easton was involved with has this to say about family:

'If anyone you come out to reacts negatively try and find a safe way
to remove yourself from the situation. If their response involved
verbal or physical abuse, you may want to report this to the police.'

members may not be a true representation of how they’ll feel
in the long term.
– Many parents, with time, can become your biggest advocate,
actively supporting you through your transition.'

So, it seems they have in fact got far more extreme in the intervening years since Easton's involvement.

It seems they are in the awful situation of being in so deep and so deeply embedded in public life, in schools, police, and other organisations, that everyone is scared to say anything. Even as the shocking revelations pile up.

So that's 2 convicted paedophiles who've been embedded in this children's charity? There's been no review of this in the charity? Politicians are silent and the Police are busy signing up to charters produced by this charity?

This is a second case in the last week involving paedophiles where a police force has been professionally compromised by involvement with an organisation harbouring them. In the Surrey case they even accompanied the predator into a school shortly before he was arrested for appalling child abuse allegations.

At some stage somebody is going to have to put some distance between the police and political activist groups masquerading as charities.

I mean, at best that's a massive safeguarding failure. Middle ground, they were scared to look more closely. Worst case scenario, they were deliberately covering up.

It seems that when Rennie was convicted absolutely nothing was considered.

They've left themselves open to accusations of covering up and turning a wilful blind eye.

If the police didn't investigate LGBTYS then they didn't want to risk doing it themselves.

So when Rennie was convicted, it wasn't considered that he might have used his position as CEO to push an agenda that favoured his own desire to abuse? Or to employ people he knew would share his feelings/turn a blind eye?

'After a year working directly with young people, Rennie moved into management and rose to become chief executive of LGBT Youth Scotland in 2003.
He studied physics at Heriot-Watt University, after which he trained as a teacher. It was during his studies that he became friends with the parents of "Child F" – who he would go on to abuse during babysitting sessions.
In a statement issued after the verdict, the charity expressed its shock and "betrayal" on learning of the abuse Rennie had carried out. It was within the offices of LGBT Youth Scotland that Rennie accessed the Hotmail account "kplover" that he used to view and distribute vile pornographic images of children.
"We are appalled by the abuse and exploitation of children by James Rennie, and wholeheartedly welcome his conviction," LGBT Youth Scotland said.

"Our immediate thoughts are with the children and families who have been directly, and indirectly, abused by him and the other co-accused also convicted.
"Lothian and Borders Police have been clear that their investigations concerned James Rennie personally and not LGBT Youth Scotland as an organisation."'

Rennie also sat on the board of YouthLink Scotland.

The fact these organisations made no investigation in the aftermath just beggars belief, really.
