Go Woke & Go Broke! New list of boycotted brands..

So it's June & so far the big companies that are being heavily boycotted are as follows..

Innocent Drinks & smoothies
Oxfam
Target
Nike
Bud Lite
Lego
NZ products
Starbucks

Who am I missing?

Local ones do. We have a couple of hospice/ children’s hospital ones and they do this (and email you to tell you how much your donations have raised)

Random question, but can anybody think of a charity shop place where you can Giftaid your donations? Oxfam used to give us iD number stickers to pop on bags we dropped off.

I had a "we'll post you a bag for donations" from Oxfam pop up on my Facebook feed (not sure that they planned to pay postage for my kgs of kid's books, though, and I would rather find a new charity).

My uncle was a skinhead back in the day and had some slightly dodgy ideas about race immigrants etc.
He had two sons who grew up with very strong personalities and minds of their own. I remember my dad telling me at one family function my uncle and his sons got into a heated argument about immigrants, non white people etc. I always remember what my dad said my cousin shouted at him. "The problem with you Dad is every time you go outside something pisses you off. The problem isn't the out there, the problem is you and if you can't handle it maybe you should fucking well stay at home"

This whole thread makes me think of that lol.

It’s sort of the opposite to that though.
There was no real comments from women on transsexuals or cross dressing aside from maybe finding out your partner did this and it was a step too far.

It’s the trans lobby that are angry with everything. Everyone out to get them. World needs to change for them.

Thanks, just what I was looking for. We all need to put our money where our mouths are and buy from companies that align with our values. Shouldn’t be political I agree and they should all butt out, but I am prepared to hit them where it hurts - in the pocket - for attempting to indoctrinate my children with harmful ideologies.

My word @BabyStopCryin I've seen it all now.. I think that deserves a thread of it's own! Women menstruate & have done since time began. Men can't menstruate & never will have a menstruation cycle as their biological organs don't permit that. My 8 year old understands that!

@DeflatedAgain me too. In general though I find mumsnet great especially regarding education & child rearing. I have learned so much. My children are so young still & I'm shocked at all the indoctrination & hidden messages. Thank God for mumsnet.

Be really careful though - I came 14 years ago for the child rearing and got radicalized!

Actually it is a pain in the proverbial because you do get your eyes opened but you cannot close them again.

The target share price is far more complex than this. The current slump isn't solely related to this. Their profit margins are down and they have quite a lot of debt. Many in the US are tightening their belts in anticipation of student loan repayments restarting, they have had a 3 year pause due to covid. And most shares are institutionally owned, so in pension funds, mutual funds, investment companies etc.

I refuse to boycott M&S or Lego lol.
Have already ditched pretty much all charities.
No sign of Asda rainbowing their logo yet this year so will give them more business for 'reading the room'. Fingers crossed it will not happen later in the summer.

@Moomoola I completely believe you, it really is breaking up families.. There seems to be a divide & conquer mentality. Clever, innocent branding designed to reel very young children in.. After all we do have an inherent need as humans to belong to a community or "tribe"... It's fucking scary.

I think MerlinsLostMarbles has misunderstood the lists and thinks we want to name and boycott any company that displays an (old skool) gay pride flag. Not the case at all. 😃

We’re looking to collate a list of brands that use their corporate marketing muscle to promote gender ideology - especially those that target children. Including those that use woman face (aka drag), those that fail to protect women’s rights on their premises, and those that raise money for charities that encourage children to embrace gender woo.

Many - if not most - of those brands are in the US. The only company on that list I use is McDonald's and I eat there maybe once every couple of years.
