I was a bit disappointed to find out that Dock & Bay have donated to Stonewall, although I don't know if they're still partnering with them. I always found Stonewall's mantra of "acceptance without exception" a bit sinister. Were they pushing for a world which would have forced us to accept anyone in any space?

Shame for the workers and the suppliers that aren’t going to get paid but as someone who bought a number of Radley bags as I had to look smart for work I stopped buying from them after they went publicly trans and Stonewall supporting a few years ago. If your primary customers are women don’t support women hating ideology. I don’t imagine enough women boycotted them over that to make a difference but yet again senior decision makers supporting ideology that has no relevance to your brand turn out not to be great at making business decisions.

Really sad to hear that Bravissimo don’t prioritise women’s safety. I was going to take dd there but we’ll go elsewhere then.

I’d just like to add that when I was in the changing room at Bravissimo about a year ago I heard a male voice. When I came out I saw a man in a dress waiting to be “fitted”. He was focussing on the poor young girl fitter in a hijab specifically. Extra points for extra discomfort?

It’s crazy. I have no idea how to measure myself and my size has changed so much since I had my kids. It it rubbish – women’s sizes change all the time, due to weight gain/ loss/ illness/ childbirth/ breastfeeding etc because our breasts are a natural part of our body that changes with us. If you’re a bloke who’s just had two plastic tennis balls stuck on your front, you don’t need measuring for a bra. I wonder how many women are self-excluding from bra fittings because of this and damaging their health in the process.

I've not been in a Bravissimo for decades. There were quite young girls working there then. Tbf the one who measured me was abrupt, intrusive and rubbish at her job. I wouldn't say boo to a goose then and I couldn't take a proper breath for months because the bras she sold me were far too snug. But even someone like her shouldn't be put in the position of measuring a TiM if she doesn't want to. I sincerely hope they aren't employing any.

The Bravissimo in my town has a pro-trans sticker in the window. Just a small one, below waist height so I doubt many people notice - but I do, every time I walk past the shop (several times a week).

The first time I noticed it, I thought - 'WTF? If you're aiming at TIFs, they're using binders not plunge bras. And if you're aiming at TIMs, them having DD+ silicone bags inserted just screams fetish.'

And yes I would worry about using a changing room that males had been in. There's far too many videos out there of women in changing rooms unaware they were being recorded..

If I recall correctly Nike also did a collaboration with the child drag artist Desmond. That can't have helped their profile either.

I was as so grateful to get a Lush voucher as a gift as at least I could reason it had already been bought.

I can no longer go in there using my own money any more because of some trans nonsense I am vehemently opposed to.

Nike finding recovery difficult 🎻 they are putting part of the blame on going woke but failing to admit insulting women with the Dylan Mulvaney sports bra ad wasn’t smart. My boycott won’t be making any difference but I won’t be buying another Nike product until they apologise for that ad.

I’ve been boycotting Costa since they did that ad celebrating young women with double mastectomy scars. I’ve often wondered if it made any difference. Just read an article saying that Costa has been losing money hand over fist and the owners, Coca-Cola, can’t give it away. It isn’t closing down altogether, some branches are closing but others are opening.

Various possible reasons given, not including boycotts but I hope it helped.

I was curious about how Ripcurl were doing financially these days, they’ve closed 21 stores and posted a $80 Million loss. Shame for anyone who has lost jobs but not sorry the brand saw an impact.
