I've not seen a thread on Amy on MN and the search didn't show up anything. She seems to be being put through the wringer by tras and by her nursing college.

I thought if she saw this thread it might be cheering Flowers, she's on twitter. I found her thanks to Bette.

Interesting exchange on those live tweets:

Findlay: I object to Bastow's assertion that medicine is the same in all jurisdictions. Access to abortion is different in different jurisdictions. This is analogous to trans-affirming care.

Differing levels of acces to abortion are politically and ideologically driven. Such differences are not predicated on medical grounds.

Ergo, BF is claiming that gender medicine around the world, and specifically in Canada, is not being driven by medical evidence, but by politics and ideology.

A very interesting comparison, and one that undermines BF’s case, I would say.

I'm watching the tweets (loving EsmeVee's asides ).

This at the end struck me

Bildy addresses the College's written arguments from October which seek to disqualify Dr. Stock on the basis of her not agreeing to the College's definition of transphobia.

Really trying to stack the deck aren't they?

They basically appear to have instructed extreme trans activists as lawyers (complete with blue hair). I really feel for Amy. It must feel like she's entered a parallel universe.

@Signalbox you're a stronger person than I. I'm following it 2nd hand. Your description of bf sounds just like I imagined she would. I think hearing this nonsense would really upset me.

It's quite hard to listen to listen to barbara findlay's submissions.
She's very emotionally invested in this isn't she?
Seem odd for a lawyer. It's almost as if she's representing herself rather than the College of Nursing.

I think I just asked for access (with the date and the name of the parties) but it was all the way back in September and I can't remember how long it took for them to respond. They've been pretty efficient though.
