A great thread beginning and agreement that stonewall are problematic and women's rights are being overlapped by male rights

“Gender segregation” no! Gender can do whatever it wants. Say the word “sex” “TQIA+” “folx”!

The ruling won’t “harm” anyone identifying as trans, queer, intersex, asexual or “+”. They are still as protected against discrimination or harassment on the grounds of their sex or any gender reassignment. It just means women can feel safe in protected single sex spaces because males, if they feel “gendery” or not, won’t be allowed access.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO Supreme Court says a woman / female means biological sex.

Hopefully the CSP and other unions start realising gender does not equal sex.

Can hardly contain myself at work Grin

Can’t get through to the link but checked on X. The page links to the same old CSP page but with updated guidance.

This is where my £37 a month (!!!!!) is going grrr

I hope the Darlington nurses and Sandy Peggie’s cases go the gender critical way.

Yes. I hope the CSP wind their necks in with it as Stonewall have updated their 'transphobia' definition. Not holding my breath but definitely crossing my fingers Smile

It is interesting that even Stonewall seems to have reached peak trans and is now on a downhill slope, so to speak, yet CSP is still climbing. Why have they suddenly decided to make trans issues the hill they'll die on? Do other equality issues not matter?

Looking at the NHS Fife tribunal case just now it does seem like only TW matter and women's rights take the back seat. I know which side our union would take.

There was something in Frontline last month or the month before about an anti sexual harassment campaign they're going to run this year. Wonder if it will focus on THE MOST OPPRESSED type of woman or just us boring old biological women?

Their trans-related articles seem to get more ludicrous each month. Who cares if Shannon is creative or likes guinea pigs when everyone is rushed off their feet trying to make sure patients get the care they need?

I wonder if they will update the CSP one and then maybe gender critical posts will stop being removed from iCSP discussions

  • well yes, right? Intersex is not a 'normal' sex it's an unusual presentation of one of the two sexes. Gender is personality basically and doesn't affect a person's biological sex.

And if someone is on cross sex hormones that may well exclude them from certain studies, as other medications may exclude someone from certain studies. It affects bone and muscle. It does need study and research in and of itself I would think.

I just can't with this. Reporting on gender in research articles is 'problematic' even if people do try to report it, apparently.
