Can't see a thread about this, which has enraged me this morning - Fox bragging (on a JKR tweet to a child!) about beating up women

Anyone who supports this does so because they revel in the idea of men being able to beat up women and be cheered on while doing it. There's just no other logical conclusion to draw. There's no grey area, it's just a celebration of male violence against women.

Binterested · 17/06/2020 15:48

That Guardian article on Lauren Jeska is what opened my eyes to this whole shit show.

White male bodied person almost murders black man just doing their job - leaves him with life changing injuries. And it’s poor dear Lauren who is the victim according to the Guardian. The double think was so glaring it stopped me in my tracks. And I’ve been seeing the truth of it ever since.

It’s ironic because the Guardian were trying to hoodwink me but only succeeded in alerting me to this whole lie.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/06/2020 15:41

I sound terrible on these posts really anti trans and I am not.

I will support anyone for FAIR treatment.

This is just horrific though. It's not physically fair.
The toilet thing, the changing room thing, the sanitary product thing, even the terminology, I can see all the different sides to all that but this, what this thread was started about. I can never see anything but the violence here against women and being allowed to happen like it's ok. Even charging to watch it like it's ok.

Oncewasblueandyellowtwo · 17/06/2020 15:36

Does anyone have to hand the scientific differences between males & females in sport even if the male is taking hormones.
I know I've seen it on here but I can't find it.
I'd be really grateful if someone can point me in the right direction.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/06/2020 15:35

I wonder if the audience knew it was a women and a TW?

I mean, I'm not a fan of MMA myself but I can understand why people are.

The training they have to do to be at peak physical fitness and the years they have spent training in whatever fighting style is full time. Full dedication. It's a lifestyle not just a job.

I don't think anyone would go and expect a women to fight a TW.

You know what pisses me off, if any of the women in professional football teams for example said I'm now a transman, we are not going to see them in the male team in the premier league are we?

No chance but a man saying oh well I'm A TW now, there they are, collecting medals and now beating us up it appears.

Whoever made this decision that this was fair is on crack and glue.

BovaryX · 17/06/2020 15:29

@TheProdigalKittensReturn

I have some rather pointed thoughts about the audience who cheered that on too.
Absolutely agree. It's just despicable.

I don’t understand why the organisers of that fight haven’t been visited by the police, the female opponent didn’t realise she was facing a man until it was too late, how can that be legal?

How is this allowed? How the hell can this be going on? Not in secret. In the full glare of the spotlight, with an audience? I can't say what I think about this person. The whole thing is so shocking.

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 17/06/2020 15:17

He's a monster. Watching him get the shit beaten out of HIM by Ashlee Evans was a pleasure. He looked vicious. But she won!

How it is allowed is absolutely beyond me.

It's one of those things where most people go "surely they wouldn't let that happen". Every single bloody time it turns out they already have.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/06/2020 14:59

I can only hope that a man or a few men say they are TW purely to fight this piece of shit and give him a proper tuning.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/06/2020 14:57

"What makes this violent male who likes hitting women different from any other violent male who likes hitting women?"

"This one is named after a character from Dynasty, and wears eyeshadow."

nancybotwinbloom · 17/06/2020 14:57

I always knew that TW could and were competing against women in sports. I gave always thought it was unfair.

I just never made the jump that this included combat sports like MMA etc.

Literally cannot believe what I am reading.

This is a man beating up a women and bragging about it. I have no words. I am so disgusted.

All the training in the world will not make this a fair fight.

SunsetBeetch · 17/06/2020 14:50

So proud of being a woman beater. What a piece of shit.

What really gets my goat, though, is this is only coming to the fore because fox is jumping up and down bragging about how much he loves to hit women.

Before he said that, five minutes ago, he was still doing it. Backed up to the hilt by the boxing authorities.

Does, for example, a 6 foot four male rugby player now saying he loves nothing more than getting into a scrum with a woman, because he knows he can violently push her over, suddenly change the entire concept from acceptable to appalling.

What? they can do it, but they just can't like doing it? Or they can do it, like it, but they just can't say so?

Misogyny is only misogyny when it's got a name. How convenient.

Datun · 17/06/2020 14:43

It makes all those tens of thousands rape and death threats a reality, doesn't it.

In 2020, cockfighting has been outlawed, bearbaiting, dogfighting, but you can get a man to gleefully punch a woman until he breaks her bones, with the blessing of the authorities.

May they hang their heads in shame.

AmericanSlang · 17/06/2020 14:42

Prodigal i agree entirely, but we're in an insane world where Fox is just a really really strong woman and it isn't their fault that their opponent was a rubbish female with an eggshell skull

If anyone wants to say just how nasty these people can be, then read this article about Tara Wolf, from someone who knows very well.

www.peaktrans.org/cowardly-bullies-get-my-video-about-tara-wolf-wanting-to-smash-my-face-in-with-the-support-of-freedom-news-taken-down-from-youtube-so-here-is-the-full-content/

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/06/2020 14:36

Fox broke Tamika Brent's orbital bone. That's not an injury she could have anticipated because women simply don't have the strength to punch with enough force to do that. She also ended up with staple in her skull. Again, these are not expected injuries in women's MMA.

Fox should be prosecuted, as should the organization that set up the fight.

AmericanSlang · 17/06/2020 14:34

happydappy it shouldn't be legal, in a sane world, but if one agrees that TWAW the rest follows. If, as Emma Watson states, people are who they say they are, then FF was a woman fighting another woman

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/06/2020 14:28

That's an interesting question, isn't it? I tend to lean towards the view that you'd have to be pretty unpleasant to sign up in the first place, and even more so to stick around once you see all the threats to punch/rape/shoot women, but then being involved seems to make people even worse over time.

blubellsarebells · 17/06/2020 14:27

"What is it about genderism that makes people so vile? Or are vile people attracted to genderism?"
This is the question i was trying to ask upthread.
I would love to know the answer to it.

NotTerfNorCis · 17/06/2020 14:23

Haven't seen a single TRA condemn Fallon, and some are cheering h** on. What is it about genderism that makes people so vile? Or are vile people attracted to genderism?
