Nice to have another PCOS girl on the thread! It can be quite difficult when ovulation alone is a success, forget getting pregnant 🤦‍♀️

Currently taking Myo-Inositol, have been since March. I was having average 60 days cycles, then started taking it and had one 85 day cycles but the last one was 35 days! If I have ovulate already I’m on for a 37 day cycle. So maybe it’s working… maybe not. Not enough data yet I think.

Never tried Metformin. Have you? If so, have you got it prescribed straight from the GP or have you needed a fertility referral?

I think that the progression with the Clearblue is good and its more reliable than the other tests. Todays test is clearly darker than the others.

I have learned to only use one type of tests for this and to do it every other day to compare (easier said than done). I used easy@home first time round so they may be more sensitive than the red ones. The progression looks good from the first one to the bottom. Also test same time of day.

in the end, had to get my husband to hide the tests and only did another test because EPU said to (I had a bit of brown when wiping). All was ok though as he is running around being a menace!

Hi guys! Asking for advice. I’m 14 DPO today and my line progression with clearblue ultra early is good I think, but my line progression with normal tests (that you can use the day of missed period) is not very good and I don’t understand. The three red tests is: yesterday, this morning and just now from the top to bottom. I feel like it’s getting lighter? What do you think?

I’m onto my next cycle - counting today as CD2. Wishing everyone else so much luck 🍀 looking like I’ll next ovulate around 26 September - really hoping it is from my right ovary this time 🤞

I’m hanging on by a thread. 9dpo, made me promise not to do any excessive/secret tests so I’m not but we’ll test tomorrow. I don’t feedel pregnant but you know what it’s like 😫

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy ah I thought so. I'm another pcos girlie. My longest "cycle" was 200+ days 😂 but it's SO much better since having DS. Have you tried things like Metformin and inositol? I'm taking inositol every day right now, but I've not been doing it long enough to see if it improves my ovulation

@LavenderSweetPea Glad you are doing ok. The TWW is definitely the boring time! Nothing you can do to change the outcome so just have to twiddle your fingers and hope!

Yes, I’ve got PCOS so ovulation is always iffy. Have had some super 80+ days cycles. Shortest I’ve had was 35 days. Not feeling very hopeful this cycle with such a low possible “peak” but I guess you never know.

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy I'm ok, I've not had any symptoms in the first 5 weeks or so if pregnancy before (other than missed period!) so I don't really torture myself with symptom spotting. Just a very boring time. I'm only 2do but it feels like I've been waiting forever!

Do you have pcos causing the long cycles? Sounds like you might have ovulated at last though. Definitely take a pregnancy test if you don't get a period in a couple of weeks!

@LavenderSweetPea To be honest I’m very confused. Lh is back down to 0.2 and CM has dried up. So maybe I did ovulate? I was still getting fertile CM on Tuesday morning which seems very late after peak on Saturday? So thought I hadn’t but now not sure!

Just going to keep testing Lh and dtd to make sure I don’t miss the window in case I do get another surge. Assuming I’m on for a super long cycle but can’t stop myself counting days past possible ovulation (4dpo!) 😂😭 don’t know why I do this to myself! Wish I could be more relaxed about it!

Aww, this sounds so lovely!! So glad you had such a lovely experience with a big age gap.

I babied my brothers when they were born and loved that bit (they are 7 and 10 years younger) but I was at uni before they finished primary, 4 hours away. Then stayed in the city for work. So really I left home when they were 7 and 10 and never went back again apart from the holidays which didn’t seem enough somehow. So I guess that is were I am coming from with me being worried over the large age gap (and my husband had a similar experience) but it’s so nice to hear it doesn’t have to be that way.

@GoneWithTheWind4 hopefully it's just too early. Do you test for ovulation? My previous cycle was 28 days but I only ovulated on day 18, so there's no way I would have got a positive test on CD24

I think I’m out. Tested with a Clear blue early detection on CD24 first thing. I have a 28 day cycle. And it’s negative. I really need to drill into my brain that my regular cycle and pre period feels like early pregnancy. I’ve been second guessing all of my pains and feelings and getting my hopes up.

Yeah agreed, probably just my period. I don’t mind too much if it is because at least then I’m onto the next cycle and less waiting around

Well if that is implantation bleeding the negative test is totally normal. But I think its a bit late for implantation on 11dpo.

I’m a bit confused - just woken up and am 11dpo. Wiped and there was a small amount of blood but my easy@home test is negative. Probably just my period starting early (although haven’t had any period pain) but 11 days dpo is quite early for me… trying not to get my hopes up about implantation bleeding etc 😫

Maybe can see the faintest thing starting? Would trust your in-person view of the stick more as so hard to photograph at the early stages! Fingers crossed for you

I know it's super early I am around 7-8dpo but I think I see a vvvf line in person. In the photo it's harder. Do you see anything?

Hello! Hope everyone is getting on okay this month, thought I’d planned everything perfectly this month and had decided not to bother with the ovulation strips and just go with when it usually is to chill a bit.

obviously doubted myself and did ovulation strips today to check LH lowering as thought I would be at least 2DPO and all timed okay but I might have actually messed it all up. Top is lunchtime today and then bottom at like 5pm. DH is well and truly worn out this week so don’t want to admit how wrong I might have got this. Does anyone think this might not be heading towards a surge?

Sorry, I haven’t fully caught up with this thread as I’m still not really in the TTC headspace after my MMC last week.
But just wanted to say my DD is 4, so BEST case she’ll have a 5 year age gap with the baby (given I’m not even pregnant yet 😂) and honestly, I’m not worried about it at all.
Me and my baby brother have 6.5 years between us and we are SO close. Always have been. When he was a baby it basically felt like MY baby, I absolutely adored him. And when he was around 3–5, we played really well together too - I was the teacher, he was the student, or I was the doctor and he was the patient. Poor guy 😂
Then yes, there were probably a few teenage years where we were just on completely different wavelengths, but that was such a tiny part of our lives really. Now we go out together all the time, he comes over, and we went away for a weekend together just a few weeks ago. We’re very close.
I also have friends with siblings where there are 10 years between them and they’re really close. And I now have mum friends with kids with 10 year age gaps who say the same.
I actually think there are some really nice things about a bigger gap. You get to enjoy your first child for a good long time as an only child, without the baby/toddler juggle. Then when the second comes along, you have this massive little helper who is also pretty self-sufficient, at school, doing clubs etc. So you get to enjoy your baby in a completely different way - almost like they’re an only child too.
Obviously the juggle is still there, but it’s a VERY different juggle to having a toddler and a baby at the same time.
So yeah, if I end up with a 5, 6, 7+ year gap, I honestly wouldn’t be worried about the siblings not being close. There are so many other factors that matter far more than the number of years between them. ❤️

Sorry to hear that work is still hard. The flexibility does sound good though, and nice that you have been able to drop your hours. Sounds very tough.

Your family sounds very similar to mine, though I was the eldest! Went off to uni and didn’t see much of my younger brothers growing up being 10 years older. We are getting closer now but still at completely different life stages, I’m on babies and they are just getting their first jobs out of uni!

I am 10 years older than my youngest brother, so went to uni when he was 8 and so never really feel like I knew him! We are getting closer now but I don’t think that would have happened if he had not had his gap year living with me. But good to hear it doesn’t always have to be that way.

Cycle day 15, got static smiley on CB. Easy@home also looking good. Will DTD later, and hopefully tomorrow. Been trying to do every other day so fingers crossed🤞
