What’s the name of the best person you know?

I really like hearing baby name suggestions based on real people. For example “what about the name, Arty? I grew up with an arty he was the nicest guy ever”

Share the name of someone you think is amazing and why. And / or do you know a few people with the same name and can make a statement like “I like the name Maya, never met a bad Maya.”

As a teacher, every boy called Marcus, Stephen or Connor was hard work.
The best person in my life, who seems to be university loved, is Lydia. She just has the sweetest soul, yet she's also ambitious, intelligent, successful. She's done well for herself despite her name being inspired by Lydia Bennett, who was considerably more wayward!

Oddly, I know a very nice Sheridan too. Don't see him often but he is extremely nice and a great Dad.

That makes 2, and that must be something like 50 percent of all the Sheridans in the world?

Two of the best people i know have the same name as two of the people who have made my life miserable.
It's very complicated.

However I do know lots of wonderful katherines/catherines/kathryns/catharines/cathryns - with various diminutives- and never met a bad one. So that can stand.
