Even if it means 2 weeks of quarantine Grin
The anti -dementors are here to be reasonable and sensible about everything.

Have to admit I did daydream earlier about a perfectly timed Winter holiday in December, resulting in a two week quarantine over Christmas (definitely not so I could get out of family obligations Grin)

I was getting quite excited about the prospect of a summer holiday earlier. Then I remembered I'd have to get passports for me and both dd's! That put a dampener on my happy imaginings.

I'm here and hoping to go on a very non-Dementory holiday to Greece at the end of August!

Checking in but not a sniff of a summer holiday here!

Me too @minesapinot
Altogether now
"We're all going on a summer holiday
No dementors for a week or two...."

You know this thread is going to go south with this title confusing people. You do need the dementor wording slotted in somewhere.

How about asking MNHQ to change to "we're all going on a [dementor free] summer holiday...Pack your patronii"

I've had that bloody song going through my mind for weeks now - it's my sadistic sub-consciousness mocking me, isn't it?!

Dearie me the BBC are denentoring HARD with a piece from a London hospital tonight.

Report
HauntedGoatFart · 26/05/2020 18:07

Yes, I'd request a change Grin otherwise we've basically just lit a Dementor Beacon

Go for it @LivinLaVidaLoki. I've got to persuade a small child to eat supper (so can go out for a drink)

I’ve stopped watching the BBC as I was struggling to tell the difference with the Daily Mail as their dementoring was so over the top.

Managed not to go on a killing spree. Spent all day in the garden - day dreaming I was In Greece.

I am so pleased to have found this thread (and the one before). I thought I was the only one who thought this whole lockdown business was bonkers. Can I stay?

Speaking of summer holidays, we were supposed to be in Tenerife this week. Sad Still holding out some hope of visiting MIL on the Isles of Scilly in August, but judging by the recent Cornwall thread the locals will chase us off with pitchforks and flaming torches.

All anti dementors are welcome in our repurposed red double decker bus. We’re all going on a summer holiday 🎶 no more until furlough ends...

We lost our Easter holiday in Portugal and that was tough. Clearly couldn’t actually confide in anyone as PEOPLE ARE DYING. But the nice weather has helped me get over it. If we’d had the traditional Scottish weather I don’t think I would have coped so well.

We're hoping for a UK break in July with extended family. Trouble is we live in Scotland so who knows if we'll be technically allowed over the border. I've asked DH to investigate minor roads that cross over where we are less likely to be caught. If we're caught on the way back, we'll just stay in England and rent somewhere for a few weeks as we can both work remotely.
