Chatty thread whilst waiting for Chernobs 2019

I'm waiting for the Chernobs thread to start - it's my favourite one . I am sure we're all horrendously busy - I'm trying to finish off DS's blanket he ordered for Christmas. But it's mostly Lobelia and I can't see at night for the joining and he's been off school sick this week. Aaaatrrggghhh. However because of that, I have almost finished joining a Kinship hug - ran out of plum for the edging so have to go to wool shop tomorrow.

Have also started my Chernobs blanket but think I've mucked up the colours so may have to do some frogging.

Gosh - well done, bookbook. I still need to find an interesting pattern that is simple enough to do, without too much counting, while watching telly over Christmas. And, of course, buy all the right colours to do it... and enough other things to get Free Delivery!

Purple - i had a browse , and found this pattern , am sizing up - it has got all the instructions on where to place the squares too , so a nice change , and so far the squares have been easy , you do a set amount of each one , and all the rest are solid trebles I can do anywhere.

@bookbook - that's a nice cheery pattern. I like the colours you are using. For my Chernobyl blanket I need to find something which won't have as many peskies to deal with!

Hellooo! Haven't been around these parts very much lately, mainly owing to having applied for, been interviewed for, and accepted a new job. Eek!

Last day of the Craft Sale today and we are quite blown away!

Chernobs 2020 is going to be even bigger than ever, so we shall be starting in December. We received some wonderful photos yesterday from the Helpston group - children at home with our blankets, will be sharing these later. some also with our cuddly Christmas Hugs from last year. Just fabulous. Just renews our love of what we all do

Thanks for the photos!!🤗. It’s lovely to see the kids enjoying them. I’m taking a lot of extra yarn & size 4 hooks to a friends over Christmas & I'm hoping to tear her and her teenage daughter away from their WIP’s to do some C2020 squares.

I totally forgot the sale was this weekend, I’ll go over and have a look. I’m glad it’s gone well so far x

I am hoping to get back to these squares - there has been a lot of other things that needed a bit more priority . Still have a couple of special squares to do yet , but then back onto them

@bookbook yes, I went over there after I posted. There were SO many lovely things. It’s a shame some of them didn’t get the recognition they deserved. But other things reached quite reasonable amounts and hopefully it’s raised a nice amount for the charity 😊.

I need to get my ‘special’ squares finished - I’ve got several on the go... 🙄

Then I’ve got masses of SSDK that needs turning into squares!! Obviously, what I really need is your speed & skill level!
