I'm waiting for the Chernobs thread to start - it's my favourite one Grin. I am sure we're all horrendously busy - I'm trying to finish off DS's blanket he ordered for Christmas. But it's mostly Lobelia and I can't see at night for the joining and he's been off school sick this week. Aaaatrrggghhh. However because of that, I have almost finished joining a Kinship hug - ran out of plum for the edging so have to go to wool shop tomorrow.

Have also started my Chernobs blanket but think I've mucked up the colours so may have to do some frogging.

What are you all up to?

Well, I suppose Leeds is North(ish)!

Would still take me 4-5 hours by train. Sad

KnottyAndPistey · 02/10/2019 12:39

Very much the same travelling time here. Trying to keep it to only one night away for us, families and all that. It’s tricky!

PurpleFrog · 02/10/2019 14:16

It's OK - I understand... Flowers

MadisonAvenue · 02/10/2019 14:37

Leeds could work for me, I think it's around 2 hours by train from Birmingham.

bookbook · 02/10/2019 14:57

ooohhhhh

  • Leeds would be good for me - about an hours drive , so easy peasy!
TheWoollybacksWife · 02/10/2019 15:04

Leeds good for me too. What time of year are you thinking?

KnottyAndPistey · 02/10/2019 16:32

Will need to be February, but we have to find a venue we can afford and meet our requirements, currently talking to someone, so fingers crossed for mates rates to make it possible. Don't think anyone would come if the tickets were £££££.

The Square Tower in Portsmouth has spoiled us, because they do a charity rate - it only cost £160 for the day!

bookbook · 02/10/2019 18:30

Just don't make it early Feb!!! I will be away .........:)

Okki · 03/10/2019 17:34

Hello everyone.

A Leeds Hugathon would be great. Only an hour ish for me too.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/10/2019 16:56

Excellent. I'm setting myself a reminder - I'm away for the weekend so fingers crossed I'm sober enough to do it the WiFi will let me buy my ticket Grin

Will it be Eventbrite again?

bookbook · 16/10/2019 17:13

My finger will be hovering at 7 Woolly Grin

ChippingIn · 17/10/2019 08:06

So Leeds, Feb 29th. Is on! Hugathon 3

...and yet I still haven’t had my Golden Invitation?!

You can’t keep me away that easily🤣

But I can’t find the event on the WH website or eventbright. Nor the bit of FB where you don’t have to sign in?!

Can someone do me a link please 😊

It’s going to be an early start, it’s a good 4 hour drive from here, but it’ll be worth it to meet the more northerly huggers who haven’t been down to Portsmouth. I’ll be staying Saturday night (highly unlikely to be able to come a Friday as I’ll probably be working until late)

ChippingInLovesWoollyHugs · 17/10/2019 08:09

Annoyingly I’ve lost the tagging function since the iOS update, so I can’t tag anyone 😖

ChippingInLovesWoollyHugs · 17/10/2019 08:11

@KnottyAndPistey
@bookbook
@MadisonAvenue
@Okki
@PurpleFrog

Oooh it’s there now?!?!

It would be good if you could tag anyone, not just those already on a thread

bookbook · 17/10/2019 08:32

@ChippinginLovesWoollyHugs - the link isn't up yet - 7 o clock on Sunday night , so will link in for you then :) it will be good to see you again!
rm who else?
Spindelina ?
It may be a bit far for some though

KnottyAndPistey · 17/10/2019 09:40

Morning!

Chippy, and anyone else who’d like to come, be POISED at 7pm on Sunday. Will share our website page which will have the Eventbrite link on it

It’s a good 4.5 hours for us, Knots is coming up on the train, that’s an hour more, then I’m collecting her from Woking, then we are off, but that’s on Friday. We stay over Friday, just booked into the Marriott, but then DH travels so much we are using his points!

KnottyAndPistey · 17/10/2019 09:42

Also we are trying to get a Bristol/Cheltenham/Gloucester one organised. But that’s all up in the air!

Fingers crossed. No date yet! But spring.

October 11th will see Hugathon 5 back at the Square Tower in Portsmouth.

KnottyAndPistey · 17/10/2019 09:42

Which reminds me, I need to pay the deposit for Portsmouth Confused
