It's the final countdown! Welcome to the final stage of the Chernobyl project 2017.

Welcome to the final stage of the Chernobyl project 2017, the thread where we will see our target of 70 blankets achieved and even more, plans are already in place for delivery to the wonderful groups, and we can't wait for the children to have their beautiful blankets!

All crafting information can be found on previous threads, have a look here.... We are just so eternally grateful to everyone for every stitch and every moment of time spent on this project, we were worried we had 'bitten off more than we could chew' when we looked at the challenge of 70 blankets, or equivalent of 5600 six inch squares as Knotty worked out! But the Woolly Hugs crew never fail to amaze, thank you everyone so SO much! Thanks

There are 12 more kits out with crafters, and the final sort will be complete by next Thursday.

Which ones Vitty? I still haven't seen any of my squares, but I haven't done all that many for this project and some of them were plain so I might not notice them anyway.

The orangey one on the bottom row and the granny square with the yellow centre in the middle row

Lovely colours, I really like the yellow/orange/red combinations. I also like the blue and green ones.

just been checking back, the final sort may not be until thursday so there could stil be a wait to see squares.

after that there is the wait to see which group square containing blankets go to.

Am edging one of the blankets Knotty and I are making, its very BEHOLD

very bright, and so I am adding a jaunty border too!

Ooh that's got my c2c square in! That was my first (and only) 12" c2c, it's probably my favourite of the 12" I did. Think I've spotted all my 12" now for this project, seeing them pop up in finished blankets really brings it to life.

just popping by, its been a very stressful week at work so i have been lazy with the crochet. doing a blanket for dd2.

Also hurt my back and the activity that causes the most discomfort is crochry

61, 63 and 67 for me, Susan. Three spotted; seven more somewhere in WHland!

They do look great, don't they. Greater than the sum of the parts (though a lot of the parts are pretty great too!) Gives me the excited fuzzies.

Lem* hope your back is ok soon. I've had to slow down on my crocheting too as my arm is giving me gyp. I've got TOS and it seems to not like it at the moment.
