Transgender hate on mum's net

I'm just wondering, I see so much hate on here about transgender woman and not a lot about transgender men. Does everyone on mum's net hate Transgender women and if so why? I don't mind sharing a toilet space with a transgender woman in fact my best friend is a transgender woman and she is the nicest person you could ever wish to meet and will protect any woman no matter where they are. I would hate to be sharing a toilet with a hairy masculine transgender man, which seems the way people want to go why? Am I the only person on here that supports trans gender women, if so I need to leave. How many people that hate Transgender women have actually met one and had issues with one I'd love to know.

I don’t hate trans women or trans men. I just want single sex spaces and women in women’s sport.

What does this mean in practicality? The ‘especially’ part particularly? They are women, but also not quite really women until they are castrated? Why?

but how then, can you allow one into women’s spaces and not the other - there are no signs on them stating who is safe and who isn’t so easier to keep male and female spaces separated for the safety and dignity of women.

P. S. I know some very pleasant men, the old fashioned sort to be clear, but I still wouldn't want them in toilets etc with me.

@Steph2002 are you saying that you don't believe that Alex Drummond, who was feted for expanding the bandwidth of how to be a women, is not actually a transwoman?

The minute you said "true transgender woman" you showed the flaw in your thinking. The only qualifier to be a "transgender woman" is to be a man who says he is one. There's no "passing" standard to reach.

Who made you the arbiter of what a trans woman should look like? Hater.

There are plenty of trans women who pass as biological women. One might be next to you right now. Or in the stall next to you next time you go to the loo and you'd be none the wiser.

And of course there are trans men who look like biological men.

This is what I find so strange about the whole debate. Bloke walks in to the ladies and says 'but I was born a woman so I'm meant to use these loos' - what am I going to do, get him to pull his pants down to check?

This is just saying 'my mate Dave is lovely, but doesn't like the idea of spaces exclusively for women and girls, therefore let's get rid of the spaces completely. If you disagree you are against men.'

Great! Maybe you are the one person who can tell us the difference between these delightful “transgender women” and men in dresses? No one has ever been able to tell us this. In any event, the so called transgender woman and the man in a dress are both male for the purposes of single sex spaces as permitted under the Equality Act, following the clarification of the Supreme Court and therefore both are not welcome in women’s spaces

If your friend is so supportive of women, why doesn’t he use the gents?

It’s always worth pointing out that transwomen commit crimes at the same rate as the rest of men.

Well according to JK Rowling and many on this site I guess not given how quick everyone was to assume Imane Khelif was a trans-woman without any evidence at all other than... well her being tall and not wearing makeup.

No one thought Imane Khelif was a transwoman. They thought, rightly, that he was a male with a DSD.

Neither JKR or posters on this board said IK was trans. He is a man with a DSD. He was born a man. He remains a man.

This has always been the belief and it’s TRAs that keep trying to conflate DSDs with trans people.

I don't recall that anyone thought he was a trans woman. They thought he was a man with the type of DSD that only a male person can have.

Well as a SA and violent rape survivor, I can still hear them if they speak. I can always tell a trans woman. And to those who say I can’t. I can always tell and science proves women are better at it than men.

But where's your evidence? I have never met her (or him, whatever), neither have you. I also assume you're not a doctor who has inspected them or looked at any DNA testing. JK Rowling neither. My point is everyone assumed based on... looks.

Yeah honestly. One of my Thai friends is transgender. She’s not going into any male toilets. She’s stunning and would be raped in seconds, seeing as men can’t handle themselves. You wouldn’t have a clue she had a penis 20 years ago if you were in the stall next to her.

I have met several transwomen. Most were in prison for sexual offences. I don’t want to share public toilets with them.

Genuinely though in that scenario what would you do? Because it seems to me to be the creep's get-out clause that they could claim to have a biological right to be in a space and short of some staff member being willing to pull their pants down and check I don't see how one would get round it.

Where's the evidence they would be raped the second they entered a male toilet?

And why does their supposed risk of rape outweigh the threat that women might be raped in their own toilets if men were allowed in?

It doesn't matter how stunning they are or how much they pass, they are still male.

Oh, and no one is advocating for genital inspections of any kind.
