Well, if you use female single sex provisions in the UK despite the clarification that was handed down on Friday, that is your personal decision.

And you do it knowing that not only can it cause female people* distress but it is not lawful in many instances. You cannot even claim now that 'no female people have complained', because we have. We have told you on these threads.

Not sure how many more times you need to hear it from court judgements or from female people.

*female people being those who were born with a body formed around the production of large gametes, regardless of the production status of those gametes.

Helleofabore we are wrong kind of woman.

The kind of woman that doesn't fawn and bend over backwards saying yes.

Nothing we say matters cos he doesn't want to hear it.

Yes Red. You are quite right.

That is why there seems to always be a misrepresentation of our beliefs in these posts as a discrediting attempt. The misrepresentation of views labelled as ‘sex realist’.

It must make the poster feel better to demonise those who reject the concept their belief is based on. Yet, it also just continually shows that the poster really lacks anything but a superficial understanding of what feminists believe as well as the biologically established facts about female bodies.

But like the male people who have shouted that I am a nazi and a fascist in my face, it is meaningless. Because their facts are just wrong whichever way they wanted to explain it.

Here is another male person who keeps referring to himself as a female person. This is the latest.

The grok translation :

"I have female hormones. And people don't know this, but I have taken hormone treatments to lower my testosterone levels for competitions."

"Yes, and it's natural" (on having the SRY gene on the Y chromosome).

"For the Paris Games qualifying tournament... I lowered my testosterone levels to zero."

"I'm not transgender. My difference is natural."

If Khelif doesn’t make clear he is male and is seeking medical care, he is potentially causing himself harm

And for the zillionth time… ‘female hormones’… a male person taking exogenous estrogen at female levels never makes a male person ‘female’, nor does a male person removing the production of testosterone temporarily or permanently make them ‘female’.

It is misogynistic to say that it does.

Oli London (@OliLondonTV) on X

Imane Khelif shows off feminine makeover after admitting having MALE chromosomes and taking hormones to reduce testosterone for the Olympics.

Mumsnet would have called my maternal grandmother a man, also.

The obsession with trans women protects no one.

That is just more misrepresentation from you though.

Would you like to point out why any of us would?

Helleofabore · 18/02/2026 16:59

By the way your grandmother birthed your mother, she is clearly a female person.

Are you seriously attempting the 'female with high testosterone' approach here? Shall we point out to you that the female healthy range of testosterone doesn't cross over with the healthy level of testosterone for male people. And before you jump in and say, what about PCOS etc, by 'healthy', I mean anything over the range is an indication that there is a tumour.

Happy to point you to the information, if you can be at all arsed to read it.

But no... if you are implying that your grandmother had 'high testosterone' just like any male athlete that has to reduce theirs to compete with the current IOC regulations, you would be very badly misinformed and yet again showing a misogynistic point of view.

And your continued lack of any knowledge about female biology... while falsely claiming to have it.

You just quoted a post about a male person with a DSD. Khelif is not trans and I don't believe you will find any informed poster on MN that says differently.

She had XY chromosomes. Care to clarify the position?

By the way, both my mother and my aunt were adopted by my grandparents during the war.

So, she didn’t have ovaries? If she was tested, maybe instead of attempting a gotcha and political leveraging of your grandmother’s medical condition, you can explain which condition she had.

She was very ashamed of her condition and never told my mother, though she told me for some reason. She had what would be called PAIS.

If your grandmother had PAIS then your grandmother was indeed a male person. Your grandmother had testes that were producing testosterone that your grandmother’s body processed in part.

There is no way around that factual description. CAIS is the condition where the body cannot process the testosterone it produces.

It is you who has just used your grandmother’s condition politically. No one else here.

You threw up the grok translation of an interview claiming the boxer says she has a Y chromosome (though it is in parentheses and there is no context for whether that is a grok creation or some reference outside the video?). For all I know she has transposed SRY on an X chromosome.

Sex realist beliefs extend well beyond today and trans people and attempt to rewrite the history people and families.

I suggest you do your own research as to which condition Khelif has and the back history. There are plenty of threads where we have discussed the likelihood of Khelif having 5ARD. Considering what has been recently confirmed, it is very likely indeed.

By the way, no people with CAIS or Swyer have to reduce their testosterone to compete. Only male people producing and processing testosterone from their testes do.

Ask questions if you need information, many posters on this board are up to date with Khelif’s situation in regards to competing in female sports.

And Khelif is not trans.

I referred to your grandmother as male in a post. I have not stated that I would refer to your grandmother as a man if I was in a social situation with your grandmother.

Well done for politicising your grandmother’s medical condition though, to score political points on MN.

Helleofabore · 18/02/2026 17:26

Khelif confirmed he has the SRY gene attached to his Y chromosome.

Again, I would do some

Khelif has been through sex testing and has been found to be a male person with a masculinising DSD.

I'm sorry to say that you would fail to refer to me as a man if we were in a social situation together. Is that a failure of sex reality?

The presentation of that information on the link you provided was unclear. All statements claiming that she has admitted to having XY chromosomes use the same video, so excuse me if I feel a little skeptical about the intentions of the chromosome purity police.

Do your own research before commenting on a very well discussed issue.

I didn’t make any assumptions about Khelif based on that video. I made them from having followed
his case since he punched women in the face at the Olympics. what was said in the video confirms what was announced by the IBA and is consistent with other announcements.

If you are skeptical, do your research. I don’t think I can be any fairer than that. I even offered to link up threads to provide you will information. Why are you still doubling down?

You were the one who introduced your grandmother to the thread.

However, if your grandmother was seeking medical care, it would be important that all pertinent medical information be accurately presented in those records. Just like I believe nearly every other poster on this thread has suggested.

Much like everything else in sex realism, the discourse and research on her life and condition are so clouded by prejudice. The IBA was proved to be motivated by corruption and was effectively deregistered as the world sport body for boxing. I would not be quoting them as an authority on anything. If Khelif believes she will be vindicated through upcoming Olympic/competition-related testing, then I will wait and see what happens. She is owed the opportunity.

And now you are using side issues to discredit medical information. The medical testing analysed by a current medical specialist with no corruption attached to his reputation gave the factual results. You sideways swerve of ‘the IBA is corrupt’ is actually irrelevant to the case at hand.

The point is there are now numerous confirmations that Khelif is ‘reducing testosterone’. What part of that do you not understand?

If Khelif did not have testosterone being produced in his body at levels that need to be reduced, you might have a point. However, he has confirmed he is reducing testosterone meaning he has a masculinising male DSD.

FFS. Do some research.

You introduced the 'evidence' from the IBA in the post I was responding to.

Many women reduce testosterone for reasons that are varied. It does not make them men.
