He's a dude. Cancer doesn't stop that.

They took a phone? Into theatre? Where they were having major surgery? Because 'knowledge is power'?

Well his medical records need to be accurate and the fact that he still has testicles is also relevant information especially when his cancer has metastatisised as it could well spread to them.

Having cancer surgery but is concerned about pronouns. Says it all really.

Whoever did his FFS should give him his money back. Also, he was asked to take a pregnancy test. He should be concerned that his true sex is known and he's getting the medications and dosages appropriate for a man. If he's inappropriately or under medicated because his records state he's female he could die. He should just tell himself that M is ma'am and F is fella.

I think, unfortunately, that some people live in cloud cuckoo land, where because they think they become female it actually happens. Knowing a person's biological sex seems to be important when accessing health care, especially if the patient can't /won't bring the subject up themselves. And of course, litigation and huge awards are often the way to go in the USA.

Yep. It's not about politeness or health care. It's about controlling others.

Why would you want to treat a trans patient if this was the risk? Honestly there's a void between ears going on here.

I think surgeons have a right to know what type of body they're operating on. Biology gets really important when open people up.

What you think it's ok to entrap staff because they refer to you in the correct sex when performing an operation?

Knowledge is indeed power, mate.

The knowledge that you are male, and should be treated as such when undergoing lifesaving surgery.
