Within an hour. That poor poor woman. And yes, utterly insane to put her there and entirely predictable.

Supporterofwomensrights · 13/01/2026 23:14

Predictable and horrendous.

Treylime · 13/01/2026 23:20

Horrific

MrsOvertonsWindow · 13/01/2026 23:20

The NHS and transactivists are not just enabling voyeurism and indecent exposure. They're enabling rape.

Let that sink in.

nocoolnamesleft · 13/01/2026 23:20

Oh no. That is horrific. And so predictable.

Prison rape is a huge systemic long standing problem in men’s prisons.
They rape each other all the time. During the AIDS epidemic, if you as a man got sent to a US prison, you had a 1 in 4 chance of catching HIV from being raped there.

Prison rape happens in women’s prisons too, although it is usually done with objects or fists.

The government does not care. They think criminals deserve it.

GardyLou · 13/01/2026 23:25

It's so awful.

She is seriously mentally unwell. Which is not an excuse that can be used by the system that colluded and exposed her.

You can’t say that it would never have happened. Men rape men in prison all the time. Women rape women in prison less frequently. More less chance it would have happened.

SpiritAdder · 13/01/2026 23:28

I was in a mixed sex psychiatric ward once. It was also for the criminally insane- convicted murderers and the like.

That was a very scary place.

She didn’t have capacity. The state has stepped in to protect her from herself. That’s what psychiatric wards are for. Only they didn’t protect her. Even though she clearly needed their help or she wouldn’t be an inpatient. Nice victim blaming though.

It's more than dress up and this comment is victim blaming

No, women don’t rape women in the UK. The literal definition of it in UK law is penetration with a penis. It is not possible for a real woman to be a rapist in the UK.

She's a psychiatric inpatient. Have you any idea how seriously, seriously ill one has to be to get a psychiatrc admission in this country?
Criticising the choices of someone in that situation is a waste of typing,

The responsibility lies entirely with the hospital's deliberate abandonment of its safeguarding duties towards a severely mentally ill patient. Again.

Edited for dyslexia, some may remain

And covering up multiple rapes, not only this poor woman but the woman who was gaslit for a year after being raped by the hospital claiming that it couldn't have happened as there was no men on the ward even though they had cctv footage of the rape and knew that a man was on the ward

potpourree · 13/01/2026 23:34

This is a very vulnerable person utterly let down by a system that knowingly left them in this situation. And of course the men that raped are to blame for raping.

It beggars belief that nobody thought this through, didn't think there might be a risk of this happening, in a fucking psychiatric ward full of insane men.

Edited

It is in the US. I referred specifically to US prisons in my first post.
Our rape laws are more up to date than yours.
