The Mail reporting is clearer...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14392643/Transgender-woman-court-rape-girl-sexually-assault-boy.html

Transgender woman Maddison Wilson, 37, is accused of abusing the young girl 'with your penis' in 2011, according to the charge sheet.

Wilson is also accused of sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 13 around six years later.

The alleged sex offender spoke only to confirm their preferred pronouns of 'she/her' in the dock at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

They live socially as a woman’

and yet commit crimes that by definition can only be committed by men. Whatever ‘living as a woman’ means, it certainly doesn’t include raping children.

I imagine this group would be equally as angry if we held biology as deterministic of your role in society... something feminism has fought hard against...

So you can't explain 'living socially as a woman'.

You know what stands between me and biology determining my role in society? The ability to fight for and maintain rights that I need specifically because I am female. To do this I need to be able to say, for instance, that women's health care needs were affected disproportionally by the pandemic, of the impact on both maternity care and the morning after pill. I need to be able to talk about why closing of schools affected women more than men, even though my Gen X sensibilities tell me that shouldn't be the case.

I can't do any of this if 'woman' is just a collection of stereotypes that might have something to do with wearing a pink head band.

RaspberryScrubs · 26/02/2025 16:41

yy I would like to know what 'living as a woman' is.

I'll wait.

I think in the case of this paedophile rapist they "lived as a woman" by wearing a pink headband, if the original photo is anything to go by. With the male pattern baldness and stubble clearly on display. I'd say a 2 out of 10 for effort.

In all seriousness though, these are NOT OUR CRIMES. Another email to the BBC to complain I think tonight for me.

Also, this is so so shit for the victims. How dare they be gaslit like this. Fucking BBC and that fucking rapist. Doesn't deserve any respect for "pronouns". Hope he rots in hell.

TwistedWonder · 26/02/2025 16:47

Anyone getting Deja Vu ‘joke’ vibes?

Beowulfa · 26/02/2025 16:47

So sorry Dan, but it's 2025 and we don't have to pretend anymore. He's a bloke, he commited the most male of crimes, and nobody has to give a shit about his "social identity", or preferred pronouns.

I do give a shit that his woman cosplaying fucks up crime statistics, though.

murasaki · 26/02/2025 16:48

I haven't owned a pink hairband since ballet class aged 7. I must be a man.

ittakes2 · 26/02/2025 16:48

Sorry if I missed it on the thread but Maddison Wilson died on 14 Feb?

Talkinpeace · 26/02/2025 16:48

The Echo covered the story because the guy raped kids.

They cover every story where blokes rape kids
REGARDLESS of what clothes they wear

murasaki · 26/02/2025 16:50

I feel sorry that the victim doesn't get justice.

TwistedWonder · 26/02/2025 16:52

Any sympathy for the child who was raped Dan and won’t see justice served or are you only concerned with the bloke in a headband in your cliche ridden, misogynistic mansplaining posts?

PTSDBarbiegirl · 26/02/2025 16:53

This is the reason that reasonably minded males and females don't want to enable child abuse by offering easy safe haven for abusers. I don't GAF what anyone wears and I hope for a less stereotype future for children re their biological sex. However, a huge part of this 'community' is deviant males looking for vulnerable females and/or ways to gain access to previously private places for females. No male I know would ever want to make a girl or woman, boy or man feel uncomfortable and THAT says everything.

Yep it's so horrible for the victim. No justice and the BBC gaslighting them. It's outrageous.

My ballet headband was red (black leotard, red belt, very 80s A-Team van). Is this socially womaning enough? Or does it have to be pink?

I fear as it wasn’t pink you are in fact living as man

that's how it works right?

I'm afraid you accidentally went to boy ballet, so must be a boy.

Ours was pink leotard, tights, silly skirt and hair band if needed. You got black at grade 4, which was much better.

lcakethereforeIam · 26/02/2025 17:01

Here's an archive like to the Telegraph article about the man's suicide that was posted upthread

https://archive.ph/loHG6

I did notice that the MRA-alike couldn't bring themselves to use female pronouns.

I'm sorry that the victims won't see this man face justice. At least they've been spared the ordeal of a trial with the possible added grotesquery of hearing 'her penis'.

I wish them healing.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/02/2025 17:14

Desperate Dan may be missing the point that we quite often discuss male violence/sexual violence against women and girls.

Threads specifically about transwomen committing such crimes are often to a large extent criticising the way in which such crimes are reported. The report which began this thread initially reported it as being by a woman. It's been amended since.

And also of the utter unacceptability of male crimes being recorded as being by a 'female'.

The official court charge sheet identified Wilson as female. The rape charge stated that Wilson allegedly assaulted a girl “with your penis”.

We're not going to shut up about this sort of gross distortion until reality is restored.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/02/2025 17:21

Are they evading justice? What benefits do trans women get in the justice system exactly?

In Scotland, Canada, Ireland etc they often get to be in the female prison estate. Thankfully recent changes mean that isn't generally the case in E&W.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/02/2025 17:22

I did notice that the MRA-alike couldn't bring themselves to use female pronouns.

Yes, it's only women who have to hashtag be kind.

murasaki · 26/02/2025 17:22

I see he has vanished without answering my entirely reasonable question.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/02/2025 17:23

I think they make these men in a factory somewhere. Standard issue misogynistic wokebro.

Weird how complaints are only about missing out the identities you want to bully and marginalise... for instance would you complain that they missed out their faith, or their socio-economic status, or their profession?.....

So rare you see the headline "Rich, white, Christian pedophile...."....

Justice will be sought regardless of whether you deny someone their human right to identity or not... And bullying, nor vigilantism is justice...

This isn’t about bullying or marginalising. I’m disgusted by any rapist, whatever their background. The point (that you spectacularly missed) is that this is a man. Only a man with a penis can rape and this is wrongly being reported as a woman’s crime. Words matter and statistics matter. Words influence how we perceive someone, and women inherently know to be wary of men. Calling someone a woman when they’re not changes this. Crime statistics influence how we protect vulnerable people from crimes such as these. They should not be disregarded to appease someone’s feelings.
Most importantly, look at the victims here. The actual victims and not the rapist you’re so keen to defend. The victims have to live with what they’ve been through for the rest of their lives. They may not be able to trust or feel safe with men ever again and this is where biological sex really does matter.

LindaDarrah · 26/02/2025 17:59

I wonder if women would start wearing fake beards in protest, because, you know, it's normal for women to have stubble

BoeotianNightmare · 26/02/2025 18:10

Haven't RTFT. This makes my blood boil.

In the words on Almut Gadow (a law lecturer who recently settled out of court after the Open University sacked her for gender critical beliefs) "no offender should be allowed to dictate the language of his case in a way which masks relevant facts”.
