NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #12

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 February 2025 and was expected to continue for 2 weeks although at the start of the second week getting everything done in this time period was looking less certain. The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton started giving evidence on Thursday 6 February.

NC thinks she should finish this time tomorrow. JR surprised that it is taking so long complaining about it's not a roving public enquiry and irrelevant topics of NC's interest.

The brass ovaries of JR complaining NC is taking too long when it's her interruptions taking up half the time. I no longer have any sympathy at all. And i hope the emails are dynamite.

Kicked out of the waiting room! That smarts

Bloody hell! I've been waiting for at least 90 minutes with the WFTCHTJ on repeat.

Yesterday I had to be up really early (for me) and decided to get in the waiting room early, so signed up at around 8am. I noticed shortly after 9am that I'de been disconnected and I wonder whether the system automatically ejects people after a certain set time of waiting. Now have to decide whether to try and log in afresh or sit and wait longer. I presume Press and legal observers take priority and I suspect the number of press application has gone through the roof once it became clear what a. juicy situation we have going on here.

Well that's good of her but I don't believe her as I believe the Judge's instructions were pretty clear.

I am as sure as it is possible to be that DU deliberately withheld relevant evidence.
