NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #8

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 February 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks. The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton started giving evidence on Thursday 6 February.

BU: That's not what that says. There's a reason that they can't show Beyonce in bra and pants. Could be any number of reasons. Costumes of Beyonce and other popstars suggest otherwise.

NC - Another advert which is a parody of the first ad. In this the woman is still wearing hot pants and a t-shirt. This indicates the ad makers agree with me.
DU - I disagree any number of reasons. Advertising rules? Beyonce feeling uncomfortable?

Of course he does. He thinks he's the smartest person in the room. Building even!

DU doesn't understand women and how men and women are viewed differently by society, does he? Which is hardly surprising since his experiences of "being a woman" are only had through the prism of actually being a man, with all the privileges and protection that brings.

A bit like the "Women only do worse against transwomen in sport because they don't try hard enough", this is "the women just aren't strong and powerful enough if they mind me being in a changing room with them".

Insufferable.
