I see that as well as MN & the EHRC, that list includes the Cass Review, sports bodies, government departments & some groups that no longer even exist.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 08/02/2025 17:30

lol it’s just an evolution of “everything is transphobic”

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/02/2025 17:31

Women's Equality Party on there, I see. A numpty compiled this list.

PaintDecisions · 08/02/2025 17:32

Oh noes, however will we recover from this slight 😱

Hoosemover · 08/02/2025 17:32

In good company… any organisation that challenges them

Well, let’s face it, they have a point!

popefully · 08/02/2025 17:34

Show me any org that is pro-trans and they will be saying somewhere that is also anti-trans.

I've seen trans people say that they need to have physically female attributes to feel like a woman, yet other people equating being a woman with being physically female are anti-trans.

MarieDeGournay · 08/02/2025 17:36

You know what they say: Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

I'm puzzled by the inclusion of 'The Countess (NI) [sic] because I doubt very much if an organisation named after Countess Markievicz has a separate operation within NI..
And WTF did 'Belfast Health and Social Care Trust' ever do to them??

I love the comment by the poster, Malcolm Clark, regretting that it was 'in alphabetical order and not a league table. Otherwise I'd have known who to donate to.' Brilliant!

Let's all start gardening like mad for Belfast Health and Social Care Trust! Feck knows what it is, but it must be doing something rightGrin

Helleofabore · 08/02/2025 17:37

So any organisation that fights for the sex based rights of female people and children to be prioritised over gender identity is on the list? And these people don’t see how that reflects on them.

Scutterbug · 08/02/2025 17:37

Mumsnet IS mainly transphobic though. It is not a site I would advise anyone with trans related issues to turn to.

Anti trans = not agreeing that men are women cos they say so

I’ve seen TRA describe the guardian and the BBC as transphobic so I assume their grip on reality is tenuous

Tallisker · 08/02/2025 17:39

Rhona Hotchkiss has commented 🥰

Theeyeballsinthesky · 08/02/2025 17:39

No. I am not anti trans in any way shape or form. Neither is ‘MN’ fgs, a platform with, what, hundreds of topics and millions of threads. The vast majority having nothing to do with the issue of trans genderism. Goodness. What sweeping hyperbole.

arethereanyleftatall · 08/02/2025 17:40

Mumsnet is pro-women? Whoda thunk it.

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 08/02/2025 17:40

But it is.

Would a trans person be welcome here?

Is that the Welsh spelling?

lol at the fact that everyone is on the list 😂😂😂 they might be starting to get it...

Of course not. Look at all the other shit they do, pushing themselves into female only groups, insisting they should be able to join rape survivors groups etc. they are either severely thick or just don't care how they're perceived. I'm guessing it's a bit of both😂

How would we know they were trans?

Or is it the classic "man here" and eh tell us?

No one provides any ID to join the site and there is no requirement to provide personal information (beyond an anonymous email address to sign up) unless they want to.

Same reply. How on earth is ‘Mumsnet’ mainly transphobic when its millions of threads have nothing to do with trans genderism. Millions and millions of threads. Not to mention that when distraught parents do turn to FWR, the vast majority of posters are supportive and sympathetic.

Maybe you mean it’s not a site where you’d advise parents who are seeking validation that affirming their children with surgery or CSH is the best approach to a gender questioning youth. I’d agree with you on that view.

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 08/02/2025 17:45

Well if a trans person shared they were trans how would they be treated?

MarieDeGournay · 08/02/2025 17:46

MN HQ don't permit transphobic posts, but there are posts on here that robustly challenge the extremes of gender ideology - nothing phobic about that surely?

'Anyone with trans related issues' - does that include parents of gender-questioning or transitioning children looking for support? I've seen quite a few on here, and they've not only got emotional support but links to sources of practical help and advice.
