NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #3

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

I've seen more and more members of staff that work at the Vic change their profile pic on Facebook today to one saying I stand with Sandra Peggie, some of my friends included, it seems the staff are making a very public stance in their support of Sandra

I do slightly sorry for him in so much as he could never have predicted that he would find himself in this situation.

Having said that i think it is his nemesis, he held the end of the ducking stool and now finds himself on it.

He only didn't think he'd find himself in this situation because his entitlement led him to believe that everyone would cave. But he messed with the wrong nurse.

It's all a bit fuck around and find out.

I’m sorry but that simply not correct. Many, many people have trans-identifying children about which they can do little. They are absolutely at their wits’ end, helped neither by doctors nor schools. They have not ‘chosen to damage their child’ at all, and will often have done everything in their power to help that child deal with reality. Rather than seeking to tackle life’s difficulties through gender identity.

Apologies, I was referring more to parents like Susie Green, not GC parents of children who identify as trans.

You have to wonder what the hell these men are thinking/reading/listening to that makes them honestly look at themselves in the mirror and think "yeah I'm totally womaning correctly and so stealth that no one knows". It's just delusional thinking.

Well if you want to keep your trans status in the downlow, as it appears he did, even though it was clearly obvious, don't make such a big fuss that you end up involved in a tribunal that definitely outs you. This chap doesn't seem to have the brains that got him into med school.

I read <whispers Debbie Haytons book> and it does go some way to explaining although i dont believe everything he says.

And it is delusional and it is disordered thinking.

A complete lack of awareness/mindblindness explains this and a whole lot of other stuff.
