@Helleofabore Federal parliament finished up last week. Queensland parliament finishes up this week. School finishes today in Queensland for the 6 weeks summer holidays. Extended Christmas shopping hours begin this weekend in Queensland. Saturday parcel deliveries by AusPost started happening last weekend. The end of year/Christmas shut down/shopping increase is happening.

Yep. And there are Australians inbound to my place for Christmas next week so I have been well reminded that the Christmas hols are starting. 😁

According to the Age, he is trying to stave off bankruptcy which would make him ineligible to be in Parliament.

I don’t think the election will be until May. Any earlier and every West Australian Liberal advert will start with “this is the man who wants you to vote twice in x weeks” because ours is mandated to be the 8th of March. And can you imagine tv, radio and newspaper running adverts for two separate campaigns at once? Will Albo really be that stupid? Also, the AEC might have a quiet word because so much of their natural pool of staff will be otherwise employed by the WAEC until after March 8.

Like Maaate in that 'east angular' and lack of sleep. But yes, born and bred Eastern stater, northern despite decades disguised as a southerner. Shan't use the colloquialisms as it might be considered rather unPC. But it does make State of Origin time interesting.
