Politicians shouldn't be attending partisan rallies, where there is such open incitement to violence against their constituents.

It is possible that the guillotine wasn't meant to be a literal instruction but it does suggest violence towards women as a course of action.

Where on earth would one buy a guillotine anyway? ebay? And what if people don't want to put their heads into it? And how would you carry or transport one since they are heavy and like 30ft tall? It raises logistics and practicality Qs if you think about it.

I've seen actual threats however on twitter and the TERF forum kiwifarms I would see cause for concern that the police should investigate.

And if the sign had said 'decapitate trans people' instead of 'decapitate terfs', would you feel the same? I would be as horrified in that situtation as I am with the sign which was actually workshopped, made and displayed at an event.

I'm aware kiwifarms is an extreme-right forum that targets and doxxes LGBT people and posts violent threats. They seem to be big fans of JK Rowling and the LGB-Alliance which is interesting.

As for Twitter, many of the far-right on there seem to have lost interest in trans people and are now obsessed with hating on India now for some reason. Elon Musk has completely ruined that site.
