Mr Beast's (Youtuber) best friend who somewhat recently (last few years or so I think, leaving his wife and children) came out as trans has now been found to have been messaging at least one minor inappropriately.

Joking about "hentai addiction", and other sexual "edgy jokes".

(They were "jokes" according to the victim, as the victim seems to feel that they are not a victim and Kris Tyson has done nothing wrong - Even though ofc we all know that victims who are minors will many times believe that they are not victims.
Am sure we've all been teens once who were flattered and smitten with an older guy and didn't' realise until we were older or had children of our own how wrong and creepy it was despite it being "like omg SO cool!" at the time...)

I've seen a few of mr.beasts videos, he dies a great deal of good. The stuff he did in Africa was mind blowing in teens if helping locals etc. I eat hope this doesn't blow back on him and I really hope he knew nothing about this and isn't doing the same.

I remember meeting Rolf Harris and thinking he was really cool. There's a reason why predatory men work so hard on being charming and approachable.

I think the most staggering thing to me after having a discussion/debate with friends on the topic is how many people seem to think the behaviour is excusable merely because the minor in question (now 20yo themselves) seems to find nothing wrong with the communication...

I certainly didn't see myself as a victim when I met an older boy online when I was 14 and he was 19 - I thought older guys were cool and interesting.
"Why would a 19 year old adult be talking to a 14 year old" didn't even cross my mind until I was probably 24/25 ffs, I'm 28 now and although I've had 3 years to dwell on it, while I find it gross and vile in hindsight and definitely acknowledge that grooming occurred there and I was 100% a victim, my actual memories of the event aren't negative, in my mind I was consenting - though ofc I'm well aware that as a child at the time I could not consent, nor can any child consent....

I get the impression it just must be mostly young people and those without kids or who don't want kids defending this behaviour?
Nothing else makes much sense to me as to how it's not incredibly obviously not okay?!

I thought the BBC article was going to ignore that Tyson is trans. Glad to be wrong. Although, to be nitpicky, the use of the word 'revealed' is straight out of the GI lexicon. Once someone decides they're trans, they have always been trans. In this case he fathered a child and waited until he was in his 20s before telling everyone he was in fact a woman, and therefore had always been one.

I wonder if Mr Beast is glad to see the back of him?

Mr Beast’s channel absolutely should not tolerate any level of association with inappropriate behaviour towards children and I’m glad to see that steps have been taken to remove Tyson, even if it’s taken longer than it should have given the information that has been available about Tyson for some time.

Putting his toddler son in sparkly heels was the biggest red flag for me. Not sorry to see him resign.
