Mr Beast's trans friend Messaged 13yo

SpicyMoth · 23/07/2024 16:06

Mr Beast's (Youtuber) best friend who somewhat recently (last few years or so I think, leaving his wife and children) came out as trans has now been found to have been messaging at least one minor inappropriately.

Joking about "hentai addiction", and other sexual "edgy jokes".

(They were "jokes" according to the victim, as the victim seems to feel that they are not a victim and Kris Tyson has done nothing wrong - Even though ofc we all know that victims who are minors will many times believe that they are not victims.
Am sure we've all been teens once who were flattered and smitten with an older guy and didn't' realise until we were older or had children of our own how wrong and creepy it was despite it being "like omg SO cool!" at the time...)

Video RE MrBeast's signed T-shirt streams, his chocolate brand, games and 'giveaways.'

I went on to the Mr beast subreddit to see what people were saying yesterday and the sentiments were similar to what you describe. People who complained about misgendering and transphobia were being down voted, and plenty of people were calling this person out for being an abusive predator hiding behind the shield of being trans when they are in fact a sexual deviant who has gone deep down the rabbit hole of online porn. It was surprising to see if I'm honest.

But we were told that this would never happen and no man would ever pretend to be trans just to access children.

It’s almost like women can see through men.

WarriorN · 26/07/2024 09:11

Yes. It's aimed primarily at children.

Fuckssake

In the 'I worked for MrBeast' video in my earlier post, they cover the fact that the analytics shows that MrBeast has a lot of watchers in the 40s age bracket and that everyone knows that this because of children watching on their parent's youtube accounts. I think it says that a lot of his fans are 10 - 12 year old boys.

MugPlate · 26/07/2024 11:42

I tried looking for some commentary on youtube about this - so weird, it's like they're burying some of the videos?

I remember meeting Rolf Harris and thinking he was really cool. There's a reason why predatory men work so hard on being charming and approachable.

This one really upsets me...He was a staple of seventies telly. Seemed so nice.

It’s impossible for parents to police this, my dd LOVES Mr Beast and I’ve watched loads of his videos with her - the whole thing seemed harmless to me. Argh it is so difficult parenting this generation.

My son too.
I was always fine with it, because it is actually a lot more wholesome in general than a lot of youtube - sure I don't love the whole "you might randomly get given money element" that a lot of his eralier videos generated, but a lot of the challenges have an old school wipeout element to them - people don't swear, they aren't violent, they are normally good humoured about losing etc.

NeverMindTheBackProblems · 26/07/2024 12:58

Predator finds a way to have access children. Sadly nothing new. I don't know how we keep our children safe.

I saw this too, but only a day or so after the initial allegations, originally people were running to Kris' defence - at least on reddit, it was depressing to see, but honestly I think a lot of them are just ill informed, kids themselves, or young adults that haven't quite realised how wrong this stuff is just yet; https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubedrama/comments/1e9kgkd/kris_tysons_alleged_victim_says_that_he_doesnt/

One theme I noticed in the YouTube videos I watched, and also saw in many comments under the videos, was that the young man that Tyson was talking to, and is shown as having met at least once, when he was under 18 publicly defending Tyson is being described as an aspect of him having been groomed at a young age. People are stating that because he was young, and he idolised Tyson, that he has rationalised their interactions to feel like he wasn’t a victim. People seem to think that the young man will feel differently about everything when he’s older and has more life experience.

I was very surprised to see such a widespread understanding of how victims can defend predators. No-one that I came across was blaming the child in the situation which I thought was heartening. There was a very definite dislike being expressed of age gap relationships between people in their twenties and teenagers.

Also heartening was criticism of Tyson’s statements as being insufficient or non-apologies and the statements were criticised for saying the young man didn’t see the relationship as abuse. People were saying that Tyson using the young man as a defence was reprehensible.

I’m very surprised to see this type of discussion happening at such a nuanced level on YouTube. I was expecting victim blaming and pronoun policing but it hasn’t happened as much as I expected. Perhaps the generation who grew up online have had negative experiences that have made them more aware of how these things happen and they have sympathy when it happens.

We can only hope that this type of response gets more and more prevalent as the years go on and more people see this stuff for what it is - fingers crossed!

Some of the discord stuff and private messages and recordings.

Via the algorithm, I came across a YouTube discussion on the Kris Tyson story that:

  • mentions that Tyson's sister has made allegations about past abusive behaviour
  • mentions AGP as a potential reason for Tyson's behaviour
  • discusses the people complaining about male pronouns being used for Tyson

Are we surprised? no.

For him, its likely a fetish to pretend to be a woman. I am angry the media are calling him,a she. This is NOT a woman crime.

I don't do the farms but I bet that's on 🔥

UtopiaPlanitia · 27/07/2024 14:26

Yes, Warrior, I went and had a quick look at The Farms and this story is showing up on the main page for the site multiple times. Lots of people are glad that the story is finally hitting the mainstream.

The Farms are claiming responsibility for this becoming known. They've had this information on some of the Tyson discussions for almost a year. I don't post there but as my DS was a Mr beast fan, I've been keeping an eye on those threads since Tyson announced his transition. It's actually handy for Roblox information too as my DS loves that too.

ThatsGoneAndDoneItNow · 27/07/2024 15:51

I'm completely lost. I googled kiwi and it's a flight company?

lcakethereforeIam · 27/07/2024 16:03

It's a site called Kiwi Farms. I don't know much about it, I've never visited it. In my imagination it's a bit like reddit but all the 'woke' moderators have been shown the door.

Someone who actually knows it will be along to tell you how wrong I am 😃

Tras hate it because it keeps all the receipts on the misbehaviour of their community. Which has led to numerous attempts to get it shut down. So far, it's always popped back up.

Links to the Farms are verboten on MN. Just mentioning it can get a post taken down.

Often, I think unfairly, compared to 4chan. Not knowing much about either, I still think that's likely unfair. Any association with the Farms will have some posters label you a far right fascist.

TheKeatingFive · 27/07/2024 16:08

Twitch personality F1nn5ter released a video on Twitter a few days ago distancing from Tyson, discussing their past close friendship, and discussing Tyson’s edgy sense of humour. Also F1nn5ter complains that people are being transphobic when discussing Tyson:

Yes, I recognised some of the material being released on YouTube this week as being known about and discussed by 🥝 last year. I don’t go there often, usually only when something hits the news, but the Farmers are always months, if not years, ahead of mainstream internet culture in putting together patterns of behaviour for dodgy people and, given their propensity for evidencing and archiving everything they discover, they always have receipts.
