I suppose this is bringing your whole self to work.

Defending his lifestyle, the OnlyFans user posted last month: “I will not be made to feel any different just because I record my sex.”

Why do you think it's not true when the guy who filmed it and uploaded it to his OF has commented on it?

BettyFilous · 23/03/2024 14:16

ArabellaScott · 23/03/2024 12:46

I think it's a 'that never happened' response.

With a side order “and if it did, it wasn’t that bad.”

Why do you think it's not true when the guy who filmed it and uploaded it to his OF has commented on it?

Firstly, I don't think it's untrue. We haven't had any confirmation that is is true yet. Those are not the same.

Secondly, he hasn't commented on it. If you read the Times article, they have lifted a month-old comment from his social media. As far as I can see, he hasn't made any comments on these allegations.

Your attitude is 'poor them' and how the cost of living is likely to blame for his actions.
Do you have any idea what it is like to hand over a 6 month old baby for surgery, and be told 'we'll see you in about 2 hours', and have to walk out of an operating theatre after lying them down for a general anaesthetic, and the trust and faith you have to have in these people?
If its only possibly true, who's the person complaining in a post above about the video being taken from the Web and people not paying for it.

I have a very clear memory of my DD being wheeled away from PICU to the operating theatre and being completely unable to speak.

For the next several hours I rehearsed how to consent to organ donation in my head, because I was afraid she would die and that I would be so broken that I wouldn’t be able to say the words that would allow her death to help others.

This is the lived experience of parents who are in our children’s hospitals.

It’s not OK for staff to be (allegedly!) making porno flicks to order for £6 a pop on the premises when children are life threateningly ill.

(or even just a bit poorly, frankly)

Sending my best to both of you. That sounds impossibly hard.

You don't think whether it's true or not is relevant?

I have already said that it is worthy of discussion because it is a likely scenario at some point. You are the one stuck telling us it is alleged and picking up posters about it.

Astariel · 23/03/2024 14:54

Bloody hell, @Flickersy. You really will try to defend just about anything if you can argue with people on FWR in doing so.

Yes, commenting on it and complaining about people distributing his video.

And we'd still discuss it even if it was all alleged, like the bilkions of kate middleron pist were before she made the recent statement. What is your point?

Needmoresleep · 23/03/2024 15:13

Not read the whole thread. I clicked on because I am aware of another instance in another hospital about a year ago that may not have made the papers, even though videos apparently circulated widely. (One woman several men.)

Isn't this a natural result of "bring your whole self to work".

I don't want people to bring their whole selves to work. Bring your professional self to work, and leave the rest: pronouns, gender identity, fetishism etc at home. That way I can interact with you professionally and be blissfully unaware of what you get up to in the bedroom and with who/what.

I'm not defending anything. I'm pointing out we don't actually know what's happened. As I've said (repeatedly) - if it's true then he should be fired. I'm not sure where the defence comes in.

SammyScrounge · 23/03/2024 15:31

MrsOvertonsWindow · 22/03/2024 21:05

Well said Frood. It's telling that this was in a Children's hospital. Just as many men enjoy breaching women's boundaries, breaching boundaries relating to children seem to be equally appealing to some - and openly fostered by too many unthinking adults.

The thought that there are men who get a thrill out of doing these things near children.in a hospital, curdles my blood.

It's still discussion worthy that someone has been accused of doing this, and more broadly a discussion about how insidious OF culture is.

JanesLittleGirl · 23/03/2024 15:38

@Flickersy were you Felix in a previous life?

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 23/03/2024 16:23

I’d like to know where they got the time for that in a hospital too. You can’t complain about being overworked and have time for that.

Sometimes a post just stops you in your tracks.

(And not least because women like you TheClogLady and RainSodOff are having to use your utterly heartbreaking experiences to argue the toss.)

Another who hasn't read the whole thread but 💐💐💐 to @TheClogLady

And I'm another one who wants people to keep their sex lives out of public spaces. WTAF. DON'T bring your whole self to work!

I note the location, a children's hospital, and also suspect that's a deliberate choice. Reminds me of the NSPCC employee, the porn-addled rubber wank man who did something similar in the NSPCC toilets - and the NSPCC defended him. Grim.

RainSodOff · 23/03/2024 16:53

Thank you @Datun, I'm probably responding a bit emotionally at times, but it's really not yet another thing you want to be running through your head at a shitty enough time!

CandidHedgehog · 23/03/2024 17:13

There’s a good response by Pete Davison to the ‘bring your whole self to work’ idea (part of his ‘Kanye’ monologue).

mitogoshi · 23/03/2024 17:17

There's a few things at play here, the main issue is people have lost sight of appropriate boundaries, that there's a time and place for these things. I'm not a prude and whilst I think personally it's a bit ick, if people wish to have public sex in designated places like specialty "clubs" that's their business, also if you want to film it, that's your choice. But and a big but, don't bring your fetishes and choices to work, to mainstream entertainment venues, to public places. Somehow the fact it's a children's hospital makes it even more ick, I do wonder if the dr knew he was being filmed?

crumpet · 23/03/2024 19:52

sleepyscientist · 23/03/2024 08:55

@crumpet but how does dismissal benefit the public when it occurred in a private space. You could go down the public image route and have the junior doctor's GMC number but who benefits? I think an investigation into both of their conduct in practice is needed if nothing is found then that's the end of it. Would it be different if porn of the two of them had been filmed elsewhere?

The world is changing, peoples opinions are largely changing (even if yours aren't) the pure number on onlyfans, social media etc shows this.

Yea I wouldn't do it, but I'm also not offended by other people doing it

It benefits the public by showing that the employer upholds the contract of employment and holds employees to the required standards. If you don’t want to comply with the requirements then either don’t accept the job in the first place or work somewhere where those standards don’t apply.

you don’t simply breach your employment contract and then say it’s all fine because the world is changing! That’s a ludicrous position

PatatiPatatras · 23/03/2024 20:07

As my mum used to say, "would you jump into fire if everyone else was doing the same? "

Exactly @crumpet it also benefits us who hopefully won't be thinking our medics are slipping off to film a porno in-between patients at clinics or ward rounds!!

My child is due to go back for more checks and tests at this children's hospital, potential overnight stay (maybe longer). I really feel upset about this, I can't believe some people are minimising it.

@ÉowynsSword us too in May, it's horrible, and to think of so far all I've moaned about is their ridiculous parking, the cost of things in the m&s! Oh and the fact last time went up in Feb the children's hospital front entrance still shut so have to traipse through main hosp!
