I suppose this is bringing your whole self to work.

Defending his lifestyle, the OnlyFans user posted last month: “I will not be made to feel any different just because I record my sex.”

We’ve all watched porn, had sex — I just decide to record mine but it does not give the right for people to be saving it directly to their phone and sharing it to everyone and especially the place I work.”

Surely if you put content on line, you realise it is there for people to do just that - save and share. I don't get it - or is he just a bit thick? In any case, why would anyone think it's ok to have sex and record it at your place of work - especially a children's hospital?

popebishop · 22/03/2024 19:39

Well exactly. Someone who records sex in a children's hospital and doesn't understand what happens to those recordings perhaps isn't the brightest tool in the children's hospital.

I’m a HR Director. Nothing surprises me anymore. In the last few years my team have dealt with:
* a member of staff who came to work with no knickers on and filmed herself flashing her co-workers for her OnlyFans.

  • 2 gay men (partners) who filmed themselves having sex and then shared it with multiple people in the organisation, who shared it further and further and so on until it found its way into an under-18s messages. Apparently filming themselves and sharing it is something the gay men in the org just do.
  • Someone sharing the CCTV footage of some people having sex in a bush on the boundary of the property.
  • A team leader sending dick pics to the new female recruits to his team.
BettyFilous · 22/03/2024 19:54

@OneMoreTime23 😮 Is this particular age groups, or is this a general slide into impropriety?

I’m starting to think we need to knock the “bring your whole self to work” mantra into line. It’s clear some folk have no boundaries whatsoever.

Simd1 · 22/03/2024 20:08

Had three short stays in that hospital last year with a poorly child - that's absolutely disgusting.

PracticallyPerfectedIt · 22/03/2024 20:14

It's the breathtaking entitlement of it.

'I get my kicks in X way, and I'm entitled to get them that way, regardless of how inappropriate it is'

I mean, someone could possibly have a huge lapse of judgement and a shag at work, and an even bigger lapse of judgement and somehow film it and have that footage floating around, but you'd be mortified, full of regret and apologies and desperately worried about your job, your colleagues, your service users... But no. He automatically thinks 'poor me. My privacy has been breached'

It's beggars belief.

Waitingfordoggo · 22/03/2024 20:22

Blimey. He sounds really stupid.
‘We’ve all watched porn, had sex — I just decide to record mine but it does not give the right for people to be saving it directly to their phone and sharing it to everyone and especially the place I work.’

Isn he the one that put it online? If so, he can hardly dictate who gets to watch and share it.

The arrogance is astonishing. Some people have clearly got so used to ‘no kink shaming’ that they think they can do whatever they like.

Froodwithatowel · 22/03/2024 20:56

Normalising of very very unhealthy boundaries, with the requirement that to remove any need to take responsibility for actions or listen to their feelings of discomfort that they're doing something they know is wrong, you take the blame for looking/minding/sharing/making their actions into a problem for them. There's a lot of it about.

This is why strong social boundaries are needed. Because some people won't just be good chaps no matter how nice and kind you are. And everyone else needs to be able to go about their daily life without the bums, cocks and other inappropriate bits being waved in their faces by those with a problem. Not to mention that it will always escalate because the dragon of the next boundary to break and the next big thrill will always be chased.

Well said Frood. It's telling that this was in a Children's hospital. Just as many men enjoy breaching women's boundaries, breaching boundaries relating to children seem to be equally appealing to some - and openly fostered by too many unthinking adults.

First was early 20s, second early to mid-30s, third was in their 50s and the last in their late 20s. It’s an epidemic.

ethelredonagoodday · 22/03/2024 21:20

That is beyond grim.

OneMoreTime23 · 22/03/2024 21:20

There was also someone on a dating site with a picture of themselves only wearing the top half of their (healthcare) uniform.

OneMoreTime23 · 22/03/2024 21:21

I’ll write a book (or several) one day.

RainSodOff · 22/03/2024 21:23

Oh my fucking god. My baby is being treated here. We've stayed here.

Cancelledcurio · 22/03/2024 21:33

The location is deliberate. The weirdos involved should be prosecuted.

Oh fuck off, you utter perv and stop getting your knob out in a children's hospital.

Ffs.

I don’t know if the location is deliberate in terms of children - apparently both people work on site (which includes adult hospital, maternity hospital and loads of other buildings) so one changing room is like another I suppose.

Edited

This scummy fucking perverts. I'm now thinking of all the interactions I've had before leaving a 6 month old in their care to operate on, was it one of them I trusted?
Am not expecting no life outside of work, but fuck off with your pornos while our children are in your fucking care.

fridgegrazer · 22/03/2024 21:52

On reflection I think @Datun has it right:

Oh fuck off, you utter perv and stop getting your knob out in a children's hospital.

ÉowynsSword · 22/03/2024 22:42

Bloody hell this is absolutely awful. And no apology, just more male entitlement.

The fact that the NHS has already released a statement saying they've found no evidence yet; basically he's getting away with it isn't he? Him and the junior doctor involved should be sacked. This is not normal behaviour.

A children's hospital!!! My son has been treated here. FFS. Of course it's in Scotland again. Scotland the depraved, no longer Scotland the brave. How low our country has sunk. These perverts are being enabled by our crap politicians. As of 1st April this sort of stuff is only going to get worse.

UtopiaPlanitia · 22/03/2024 23:02

This is like that US Congressional aide who filmed himself having sex in a Senate committee room and uploaded it to the internet, to a message board of men with that particular interest in common. When he was found out, he came out fighting & complaining about people trying to kink shame and be homophobic when he was criticised for his behaviour.

Porn + broadband + smartphones is really doing terrible things to societal morality, boundaries, courtesy and common sense.

So much of modern culture seems to be increasingly unequal and hedonistic and this doesn’t seem sustainable. The Romans had the excuse of lead in the water and the wine, what’s our excuse?!

RainSodOff · 22/03/2024 23:10

@ÉowynsSword I'm thinking if writing to my msp re need for investigation. Am not even sure if it would do anything but thinking if they were snagging in scrubs, they'll have just been on duty/going on duty? Then seeing our children. I'm disgusted.

This is "bring your whole selfie to work" 😱

IFHTTBIC · 23/03/2024 06:16

Bloody hell, didn't this kind of thing used to mean immediate dismissal? What the hell has happened to society that this depravity now appears to be accepted as normal? Of all the places you expect to be able to feel safe, a hospital used to be top of the list.

When the backlash finally comes to all of this it is going to be immense.
