So as the title says a biological male footballer who was allowed by the fa to play on a woman's team with the inevitable consequences for a female player has thrown his tous out of the pram because the women's teams refuse to play against him and is threatening to sue the other clubs so he can play against 16 and 17 year old girls and women

Hard not to admire the unswerving dedication to just playing it straight.

I read that story and I'm hoping that it's all a wretched misunderstanding or piece highlighting blowhard threats.

Otherwise, are some would-be litigants genuinely looking to expand outwards from compelled speech to compelled use as a crash test dummy in the name of inclusive sports?

I'm failing to insert a cigarette paper between MRA, incel rhetoric, and legal recourse to resolve aggrieved feelings about being unable to compel women and girls to behave in line with male preferences.

Notice the appropriation of "safeguarding" yet again with the player claiming that other teams refusing to play in order to keep women safe is:
"a case of discrimination, as I believe it represents a breach of a code of conduct regarding diversity and inclusion, as well as safeguarding of adults in football"

I for one hope Fran Needham does take legal action against the clubs that refused to field teams against Fran Needham's.

I actually think this person should sue the FA as they have followed the rules. The poorly thought out, completely illogical, totally lacking in due diligence rules. I think the women should sue too.

Never-mind diversity, I think these governing bodies need to be held accountable for the abandonment of basic health and safety.

Yepp it's the FA who are wrong here. Teams should forfeit the matches against Fran's team. And frankly? Fran's team manager should give his head a masdice wobble.

Say for example the sorority house in the USA - they are suing their uni I think.

It would be great of there was a legal fund or NGO or some such that would start fighting back through the courts.

I would definately donate - I have 2 dds and really worry for them.

What worries me about some of these overusers of filters is that if they went missing for some reason the police would never be able to find them!

Final thing from me is that I think it is terrible that women who want to play a game cannot play a game because of dickhead people.

I'm not sporty, but I just read Sharron Davies's book, and it was a real eye-opener. Wall to wall misogyny from the year dot. I don't think the trans thing was even the worst thing that's happened! Well not so far....

@EnoughIsay - the case in the States was lost (& women who were longstanding members who’d supported the young women living in the House in suing were kicked out of the Sorority for having done so, too).

Well there's that rugby bloke who is sueing wru/bru over there rules that say he and all other males must play on the male side, so yes they want the law/courts to force women to be injured or killed to save some men from hurt feelings

We had a bloke come on here, who said he wasn't an extreme activist and who claimed to not to believe TWAW, who nevertheless told us that it would constitute "social ostracism" if female field hockey players refused to play a team with a trans-identifying male player.

I've been told many times that if women aren't willing to play trans-identifying male players, they should quit their sport. But that was the first time I was told that women aren't even allowed to quit.
