ickky · 19/10/2023 21:06

Started on 2nd October at Watford Employment Tribunal (Radius House, 51 Clarendon Rd, Watford WD17 1HP 01923 281750)

You may attend in person or remote viewing has been quite limited but you can request log in details from

Email [email protected]

Header should read

URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

Ask for access link and pin and please give your name and address in the email as they check when you connect to the tribunal.

The clerk will ask you (in a private remote room) to put your camera on to verify, this involves looking at you, but no ID is needed. You may turn off your camera after this pointless and unnecessary process.

Thanks Iccky

AFieldGuideToTrees · 19/10/2023 21:10

I was going to ask who was in the stand tomorrow, then remembered we're at summing up!

Who goes first?

Scampuss · 19/10/2023 21:12

Thanks again for the threads and narrative. Tis all super helpful.

BlackeyedSusan · 19/10/2023 21:13

Nooooooooo...

Is there a support group for those who are still on thread 4? Watching the end of the threads accelerate away from us?

(Thanks, still on thread 4 as the threads are worth reading!)

mauvish · 19/10/2023 21:21

bookmarking. Thanks for all the hard work in summarising so far!

SinnerBoy · 19/10/2023 21:22

Blimey, is the last one full already?!

Signalbox · 19/10/2023 21:24

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/10/2023 21:25

Thank you for the new thread. The Final Day.

Notcookie · 19/10/2023 21:28

Placemarking ready for tomorrow. Wish I could be there in person to hear Ben!

slore · 19/10/2023 21:35

Could somebody please link me that monstrosity of an article about how they ousted one of their colleagues via conniving on WhatsApp?

FloweryWowery · 19/10/2023 21:37

Thank you x

Thank you for the thread.

Today has been a loooong day. A Ben free day is interminable in circumstances such as these, but we have borne it bravely.

Onward and upward.

slore · 19/10/2023 21:46

Thanks very much, and thank you for the new thread :)

LargeSquareRock · 19/10/2023 21:58

Checking in! The tribunal kicks off around 7pm Aussie time for me, so I roll the kids off to bed as soon as I can, and then sit there in bed cackling and refreshing on my iPad. DH thinks I am slightly mad but knows if he asks me about it, I will tell him and it will take a while.

Who goes first?

Claimant should go first, so it should be BC summing up for JP, then JM summing up for the OU.

ickky · 19/10/2023 22:04

@LargeSquareRock 😂Yep, it's best not to ask unless they want an hours rant.

Mine has a resigned look on his face when he asks how the tribunal went today. 😂

Thanks for the thread. I d can’t wait for tomorrow. Going to reread tonight to prepare!

RethinkingLife · 19/10/2023 22:10

Outwith lawyers and union officials, I wonder how common it is for family evening chats to be, "How went the employment tribunal today? Does Open Justice live still in this fair and terven land?"

SidewaysOtter · 19/10/2023 22:23

Evening all. Thanks for the new thread, Ickky.

Does anyone know what the timetable is for tomorrow?

SqueakyDinosaur · 19/10/2023 22:25

Timetable:

10:00 BCKC SWEEPS ALL BEFORE HIM

Some time after: the rest.

Based · 19/10/2023 22:26

When is the tribunal likely to announce its decision after tomorrow?

Fink · 19/10/2023 22:29

Based · 19/10/2023 22:26

When is the tribunal likely to announce its decision after tomorrow?

3 - 6 months. Some people were hoping by Christmas. I don't know if that was a hope founded on anything or just a wish.

Redshoeblueshoe · 19/10/2023 22:34

Thanks for the new thread ickky and all the hard work you have put in.

SoOpenitsbrainshavefallenout · 19/10/2023 22:34
