You may attend in person or remote viewing has been quite limited but you can request log in details from

Email [email protected]

Header should read

URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

What was the pun, I missed it

Opting for non pickled onions is of course valid, if you identify as non-brinery.

From @TwoDrifters2 on the last thread, we were discussing cheese and their accompaniments.

I am also concerned about @Emotionalsupportviper No one has heard from her since she went to try the ginger biscuit and cheddar combo. 😟

Outwith lawyers and union officials, I wonder how common it is for family evening chats to be, "How went the employment tribunal today? Does Open Justice live still in this fair and terven land?"

😂

"And did those feet,
In terven times . . . "

(That's my limit - sorry if I raised any hopes 😅)

I can't wait to hear what the OU KC is going to say. Particularly coming after BC repeatedly pointing out all the "inaccuracies" between what their witness said on the stand vs their witness statements.

I'm thinking it will be an unpleasant spin on the difficult bloody woman theme.

SoOpenitsbrainshavefallenout · 20/10/2023 08:52

Thanks @ickky lets hope all goes well today

ickky · 20/10/2023 08:52

I spoke too soon, clearly busy on the ginger/cheddar thesis. 😅I am impressed with the diligence.

Thanks for the new thread.

Re ginger biscuits and cheese, I like Nairn's reduced sugar oatcakes spread with a little butter, with thin slices of Snowdonia Cheese Company Beechwood Smoked Cheddar, which is the best smoked cheese EVER.

Beechwood Cheese | Buy Direct from Snowdonia Cheese

Beechwood is a Great Taste Award-winning Mature Cheddar that is naturally smoked over beechwood chips, giving a smoky depth of flavour and warmth.

Previous thread - I made a comment about pickled onions and someone witter than I (damn her!*) leapt in with a riposte about being "non-brinery"

*I wished I'd thought of it 😂

I don’t suppose anyone has a list of all the ongoing allotments do they for various good causes?

It’s payday next week, and given that bulbs that are planted now are likely to flower next Spring, I thought I could plant a few snow drops for each of them.

Pilgrim Tucker is still struggling to find a few seed potatoes.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 20/10/2023 09:01

This has got m wondering if you can actually buy cheese with crystallised ginger in it, like you can get Wensleydale with cranberries

Yes, but usually only around Xmas - so it should be appearing in shops shortly. Try M&S or a large Tesco.

Emotionalsupportviper · 20/10/2023 09:01

I have an optician's appointment at 10.00 (I know - it was Mr Viper wot dun it) and will miss the start of what is bound to be a Very Exciting Day.

I will catch you all up when I get back.

All cheese is good cheese (apart from Gouda and Edam)

Now I might have agreed with that (from the last thread) before I lived in Amsterdam for a while and tasted the delight that is properly aged Gouda.

SerpentEndBench · 20/10/2023 09:04

Much mirth at non brinery and the cheese lols.

We have power cuts here so will be dipping in and out. Stupid storm.

My late FIL lived on Edam.

But he was a man who didn't like food with flavour.

there is gouda and there is gouda.

the atuff you can buy in uk is boring 'factory' cheese. the stuff you buy from the proper cheese shop in the netherlands is a different league.

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 20/10/2023 09:13

I live in Amsterdam for a while too and agree about the cheese, it's very good indeed and some of the cheese shops are spectacular.

AlisonDonut · 20/10/2023 09:16

I've been in the cheese with ginger biscuits game for longer than the madness of denying the reality of sexed body game.

I particularly like a home made soft cheese [or a bought soft philadelphia style cheese without the processed taste] on a ginger thin.

TheSecretHistoryOfGoldfinchTartt · 20/10/2023 09:25

I came for the Tribunal commentary but delurking for cheese and biscuit talk.

Digestive (chocolate or plain at own preference) +
Soft cheese, (Philly style or fresh goats) +
Top notch jam =

Cheesecake in this house

Abracadabra, get me outta here?

Feckedupbundle · 20/10/2023 09:30

Whoo hoo. Rained off work today. Bad for my bank account but excellent for following proceedings in real time instead of catching up in the evenings.

RocketPanda · 20/10/2023 09:35

Morning and once again thank you @ickky for the new thread.

On a very personal level can I just thank everyone who have contributed to these threads with wit, poetry, song and knowledge. I don't know any of you in rl but, and I hope I'm not the only one, I feel a very real kinship on this board. Been around for over a decade and the sheer resilience and support to everyone fighting the good fight is unmatched.

*clears throat

As you were.

RocketPanda · 20/10/2023 09:36

@TheSecretHistoryOfGoldfinchTartt try it with a biscoff instead of digestive.

GailBlancheViola · 20/10/2023 09:40

Thanks ickky. Ben could of course have a very short summary - All the OU witnesses bar the last one are liar, liars pants on fire, cowardly bullies and care naught about anything other than the religion that is GI.

Redshoeblueshoe · 20/10/2023 09:45

Bakingdiva oh my word. They have cheese hampers. That's Christmas sorted.
