Prof Jo Phoenix vs The OU - Employment Tribunal Thread 6

1000 replies

ickky · 16/10/2023 16:00

Started on 2nd October at Watford Employment Tribunal (Radius House, 51 Clarendon Rd, Watford WD17 1HP 01923 281750)

You may attend in person or remote viewing has been quite limited but you can request log in details from

Email [email protected]
Header should read
URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

Ask for access link and pin and please give your name and address in the email as they check when you connect to the tribunal.

The clerk will ask you (in a private remote room) to put your camera on to verify, this involves looking at you, but no ID is needed. You may turn off your camera after this pointless and unnecessary process.

Waitwhat23, that would have been amazing entrance music.

Shortpoet · 18/10/2023 09:37

I’ve finally caught up! Was trying to read TT, then come here for the comments on each section but in the end just raced to the end on here.

As I wasn’t able to watch live due to work (and seems unlikely I’d have even got in) I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all your comments on this. Your descriptions are so vivid, I feel like I am there!

Big big hugs to you Jo if you ever read this. I can’t believe what a shower of shit your colleagues put you through.
Off to add some more to your garden.

ickky · 18/10/2023 09:39

Please all log in now as Justin doesn't seem to let anyone in unless it's during a break. I hope Debra is back today.

Interesting analogy with low-grade Christian Missionaries. May I suggest that idea can be extended to the Arab Islamic invasions of Northern Africa and the Ottoman Empire.
So as not to derail this thread perhaps someone will start a specific discussion thread about "How did we get here?"

HarpQuartet · 18/10/2023 09:41

Thanks for the prompt, I have a day off today so am currently WFTCHTJ

Morning everyone.

@LarkLane You need to say Maya the Forstater be with you.

@RocketPanda Don't worry, it's been ready since yesterday. 😁

@Froodwithatowel That is a great analysis.

@ickky You are beyond genius this morning!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 18/10/2023 09:47

How many threads did Allison and Maya's tribunals generate, ickky?

Can you remember off the top of your head?

ickky · 18/10/2023 09:48

@LarkLane I saw it on Twitter a while ago and thought it genius. 😁

OP posts:
SidewaysOtter · 18/10/2023 09:49

@Ameanstreakamilewide I think Allison's went up to about 10 in the end?

ickky · 18/10/2023 09:49

@Ameanstreakamilewide Can't remember Maya's but Allison's was about 16 -17 ish.

@Ameanstreakamilewide I think Allison's went up to about 10 in the end?

Can you think how many threads would have been necessary if more of us had been able to gain access to this example of Open Justice?

LarkLane · 18/10/2023 09:51

@pronounsbundlebundle I hope you are suitably lem sipped this morning, how are you?
@ickky with gems like that I might be persuaded to use Twitter ha ha!

ickky · 18/10/2023 09:52

Just checked, it was 19 for Allison

I wonder if Darth Vader will say " Jason I'm your father?"

<use of poetic licence or whatever>

DavidChecker · 18/10/2023 09:57

Darth Vader will say " Jason I'm your father?"
"But let me be your Mother"

IIRC, Allison's hearing lasted 20 days!

So nearly a thread a day. Impressive.

Edited

“Jason, I’m your father. But I’ve transitioned so I’d prefer you to call me Mummy.”

WFTCHTJ here too. Logged in a full 15 minutes before the start.

Money. Sex. Power. Usually these or some of them are at the base.

In the case of gender ideology and its practical ramifications, probably all three.
