I’m sure he’s mixing up his podcast

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:35

I thought you'd be able to explain the 'burning to death' comment.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:35

PK: there was is t communities in UK and globally in parlous position where being killed, health problems, being burnt alive. In this context, the podcast did dogwhistle trans baiting. it was a jokey podcast about incredibly serious things that shouldn't be joked about.

PoshCoffee · 13/10/2023 15:36

What!!! Who’s been burnt to death their their beds?

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:36

Trans people being burnt to death in their beds

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 15:36

PK - trans people being burnt in their beds?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 15:36

I've listened to the full podcast and no one is laughing about anyone being killed Confused

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:36

Trans people being burned alive in their beds. How does he get away with talking such nonsense

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 13/10/2023 15:36

Again, burning to death in their beds.

Does anyone know what this refers to?

LarkLane · 13/10/2023 15:36

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:35

Sucking women's cock!

Bingo!

TWANW · 13/10/2023 15:36

We're on a variant of the 'most oppressed' narrative now and still no attention to women's needs

Prof dog whistling about 'right to exist' and jumping up and down against savage minds podcast. I think he objects to the tone cos trans people are dieing in the health crisis and being burnt in their beds, so women can't laugh and anyway, the podcast blamed trans people for 'everything that's gone wrong'

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 15:36

'Trans people being burnt to death in their beds.'

WearyLady · 13/10/2023 15:37

Gobsmacked!!!

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:37

One of the open letters referenced tw being burnt alive in a refugee camp in Kenya. I think that 's what he's referring to .

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:37

God he'd been an awful lecturer. I couldn't bear to listen to his wittering on and then saying 'yeah' all the time

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:37

I haven't heard anything like that happening, I think he needs to cite his source.

TWANW · 13/10/2023 15:37

"people do need to be accountable for what they say" - yes prof and you're accountable for excluding so many women from the category, and associated protections for, women.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 13/10/2023 15:37

WearyLady · 13/10/2023 15:37

Gobsmacked!!!

I'm shaking my head...i can't believe what i've just heard.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 15:37

I think he objects to the tone cos trans people are dieing in the health crisis and being burnt in their beds, so women can't laugh and anyway, the podcast blamed trans people for 'everything that's gone wrong'

I agree, and I think the disingenuousness of this is vile.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:37

I don't remember tw in Kenya in the podcast.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 13/10/2023 15:38

It seems everything really is transphobia to this witness.

the savage minds podcast is dog whistle from the start to the end apparently. I’m so glad the Judge asked to listen to it herself.

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:36

Trans people being burned alive in their beds. How does he get away with talking such nonsense

Is he allowed to outright lie like this?

TWANW · 13/10/2023 15:38

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:37

One of the open letters referenced tw being burnt alive in a refugee camp in Kenya. I think that 's what he's referring to .

hmm, 3 women murdered every week in the UK by men, using a variety of means. Should that not be part of the analysis? He is a raving supremacist! It's good to showcase the male egos which run universities because change is needed.

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:39

What about the harm to women? Or do we not matter?

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:40
