I'm confused by what this man is trying to show. He appears to be saying that the problem was that other people's work got in the way of his and he thought it was a fait accompli that his should be privileged?

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:28

BC: You didn't need to threaten to take action that would harm GCRN in order to reassure

PK: My work has been carefully nurtured over 30 years with communities. Need to make it clear we are distancing ourselves in every way poss with GCRN and activities online. It was business critical. It cut us off from vital funding. We ended up impoverished.

BC: We have one email in 5,500p that has one partner asking for reassurance. No evidence of oncoming ruin of partnerships.

KP: I don't work in this field in this world - in UK and LGBT - because the univ doesn't have the credibility.

BC: Not true

PK: Not going to argue the toss

PoshCoffee · 13/10/2023 15:28

Why does he keep referring to sexed bodies? Like they are completely autonomous things, not people just bodies.

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:29

BC is mad!

Imagine not seeing your family for a month because you have to sit and listen to this bollocks.

CloudyAgain · 13/10/2023 15:29

This is glorious. How i wish i was listening in. But the commentary on the thread is priceless.

LarkLane · 13/10/2023 15:29

@PoshCoffee as a woman who is disabled I'm really pissed off by these people who only use the word disabled to help prop their own agenda up.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 15:29

Probably because he doesn't want to acknowledge biological sex in any other way.

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 13/10/2023 15:30

I’m worried about mine and I’m only reading what this insufferable windbag has to say. His nickname at the OU must be “Onan”

Janinejones · 13/10/2023 15:30

Perhaps GC academics should just say "males", and not pander by using "transwomen" - it's clearly not appreciated as a concession.
Then we would be back to men in dresses.

Well yes,

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 15:30

Why does he keep referring to sexed bodies? Like they are completely autonomous things, not people just bodies.

My reply was @PoshCoffee

PoshCoffee · 13/10/2023 15:30

@LarkLane me too. I have a severely disabled child and a parent who uses a power chair for mobility. They’d be telling this pompous arse to get in the bin.

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 15:32

Ben - making the case that putting GCRN on blast has a chilling affect

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 15:33

He has that annoying habit of ending his assertions with a faint condescending, 'yeah?' before moving swiftly on to the next one.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:33

BC: Why encourage a boycott if your objective is to reassure your partners.

PK: We felt ambushed by set up of GCRN. Felt we'd been deliberately excluded and so boycotted.

[wonders why GCRN didn't include him]

TWANW · 13/10/2023 15:33

His nose was out of joint because he was not involved in setting up the GRN - though how could he have expected to be when he expects affirmative language at all times despite that being part of the problem as GC people see it? He is just coming across as v arrogant. Walking ego.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 13/10/2023 15:34

It really is his way or the highway isn't it? What an insufferable windbag.

LarkLane · 13/10/2023 15:34

Well exactly. We See Them. The hypocritical self serving sods.Grrr.Flowers

It's a rherotical device designed to get the listener to find themselves agreeing with him. It doesn't work in people like BC who can see that this is what people do when they know their points can't be validated but don't want to have to justify themselves.

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:35

Burnt alive? what did he say?

OP posts:
chilling19 · 13/10/2023 15:35

What? People burnt alive? Trans people being killed? What is he talking about?

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:35

Sucking women's cock!

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 15:35

'Trans people are being burnt alive'
What??

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:35

PK - we were seeing people being burned alive

Did he really say that? Was that happening? And how does he think that's the problem of the gender critical network

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 13/10/2023 15:35

who was burned alive?

Ameanstreakamilewide · 13/10/2023 15:35

Burnt alive??

I'm stunned.
