One of my pet hates is people is confusing history with memory.

She wasn't around at the Battle of Hastings, either, but she's bloody aware of it.

So she never looks into the area she is representing. Remind me again, what is her profession? Academic you say?

No awareness of LGBT history and background???? Unbelievable.

BC - one of aspects of queer culture in 90s was men in dresses and that was what Julian Vigo was referring to, that time, that hotbed of queerness, wasn't it?

Exactly ickky I had messages to my MN account one night back in 2018 with similar threat. It was such a shock I went out and bought some pearls to clutch.
I left and registered several times since. I've still got the copy.

She really is a blatant liar on this imo.

Didn't she say she used to be a gender studies student at some point? Surely that history would be covered.

Gosh, that would be useful when answering exam questions on history.

Also I don't believe she's never seen the abusive tweets towards GC people, particularly lesbians - if she hasn't she's a crap academic. Knowing the public discourse about your subject should be a basic requirement of the job.

I really hope Ben brings up all these inconsistences in closing submissions. It is just not believable that they know nothing about trans history etc.

Here she's discussing why other people "crossed the line". It will be interesting if BC asks her to explain why her own Twitter activity vis a vis the launch of the GCRN did not. I assume he will.

LD has made complaints about a podcast that she didn't listen to and didn't understand (including because she wasn't part of the 90s scene).

How dare LD say there was lots of work done to make workplace better for LGBT staff and students. Just t, actually.

But in LD's mind the T is most marginalised so they need all the focus. Not saying that's true but it's clearly her though process

Ben's voice seems to have warmed up a bit, hope he is feeling a bit better.

It could be a lie but these people do use extensive block lists on places like Twitter. Sometimes 50 -100k upwards accounts blocked so their 'circle' is very finely curated.

How the hell did LD find the time to do the work required to become a Dr? As far as I can tell they spent the majority of working hours complaining
