Adding an echo of thanks to Dramatico and RealityFan for the really inciteful discussion in thread 1 on religious parallels. It added a different angle to the way belief and behaviours interlink.

I saw this article recently, which also made a lot of sense to me. Roisin has been on trial in social media in this way too, with her concern about puberty blockers being based on fact:

this cartoon which I put on the last thread, really epitomises all these discussions; witches were women, often with herbal and genealogical knowledge who were seen as challenging the religious patriarchal narrative, were put through totalitarian trials.

Obviously the witch trials of JKR too.

No different.

I’d like to thank the TRAs for bringing Róisín to my attention. She wasn’t on my radar before but I LOVE Hit Parade. I’ll be listening to her back catalogue over the coming weeks.
