Probably some incel.

Taking stock of this entire situation, I suppose we have two things going on :
(1) Music-making, live performance and those who take part.
(2) Those who wish to disrupt (1). Their reasons are actually unimportant.

The people who are pursuing (2) want their narrative to obscure (1). That includes drawing music-people away from music and having to talk about topics of the disruptors' choosing. That silly jumper has actually given us a clue about what to do next.

Simply continuing to enjoy the music and be enthusiastic about it, is a response to the 'campaigners'. In a sense, it's a return to the early days of Rock 'n' Roll, with the self-righteous trying to close it down.

..And here's an opportunity to do just that -

'I must say that I do dissent from words like 'militant' in connection with what amounts to an authoritarian ideology which is antagonistic to freedom and, therefore, utterly unqualified to lace the boots of the weakest bona-fide activist. I would call them 'fanatical' - a term which points to their political immaturity and psychological dysfunction. Trans hooligans are the Frank Spencer of libertarian politics - useful idiots feel sophisticated by comparison.'

I would suggest you all pop over to X and say 'Hi, I was on Mumsnet at the time' on Roisin's bit of it. I haven't been put up to saying that to you, I simply reckon it'd be nice for you to get an hello, which I reckon you will and richly deserved - astute, informed, tenacious, courageous, loyal - that's you.

I can do me being me by myself now (which is what I intended to do, being a bit of a solo adventurer fundamentally - 'having a go' is definitely in my DNA, I'm the person who steps forward when they want a volunteer)

That's all fine-and-dandy with art or music - you pursue your interests as you please, in whatever way you like - but this wasn't a solo mission by nature and I needed to find allies ; I found you and I won't forget it.

Once you get noticed on X, you'll get support so I can recommend going on there, with what we know, and that adds to the number of people who think what we think.We're at a place where you can join in on our side, without fear.

I'm getting likes and all the rest on X every minute, where that gives me some visibility on there and you get some respect for joining in - you can do the same ; you know what to say.

Here's hard evidence of individuals reporting and, presumably, working together on what might be described as a 'Murphy Watch' - they appear to be developing some kind of ideological foundations for future action. I would suggest that this kind of 'motivating material' tends to be found amongst the possessions of those who commit violent offences, particularly against women, or acts of terrorism against the public-at-large.

That link is the very epitome of a bad faith argument. And if the misogynist behind it can’t join the dots - is so incapable of relating to women’s experiences except to frame them against trans whataboutery - if they are too blind to see the very clear point Roisin is making and want to believe it is a cynical effort to win back ‘queer’ fans rather than to speak up for women exploited by powerful men in the current climate - that really is quite scary.

Yes, it prompts the same old question, doesn't it: do these people actually believe the words they are spouting, or not? But whatever the answer, it does them no credit.

I would suggest that this material points to an organised opposition to Roisin Murphy, where the organisers seek to empower waves of opponents to come along and deliver targeted comments, with arguments that have been developed to serve as ideological weapons at that particular moment ; the anatomy of a pile-on.

As much as that looks like the usual activity of people who wish to drum up a 'consensus' of opposition to their targeted person, it also speaks to a lack of personnel at their end - nobody has told me what to say at any time and this document has the stench of something that is circulated to people who have simply decided to recruit themselves to a 'feeding frenzy' - hiding their ignorance of what hey are sying and why, in the mathematics of lots of people taking part.

If you go to X to 'feed', you're already a problematic individual with certain psychological deficiencies - no matter what your narrative about yourself might be.

By contrast, there is room for differences-of-opinion here and I am happy to report that people have come back to me with misgivings about my personal view of what to do and how to do it, whilst seeking a similar goal.

Why am I happy ? Well, that shows that there's a healthy amount of checking going on, to ensure that reason prevails and I - as it's me talking about me - am keeping it factual - very easy to get drawn into silly stuff, here.

I've heard that Chat GPT is used to 'launder' ideological content emanating from a relatively small number of contributors and maybe that is what we have here.

It can do that, it also just makes shit up. Also tends to tell people what they want to hear, so if the enquirer has asked for proof of something it will spit out 'proof'. It does have some bias built in, too, and leans TRA.

I've heard that people with an agenda will go onto the editiing area of Wikipedia or onto Reddit and post stuff there, with the express purpose of 'feeding' Chat GPT with their line on whatever issue it is.

The idea is that third-parties, such as journalists, use Chat GPT to get information - those who have 'fed' Chat GPT are wanting the latter to appear unbiased and objective, whilst serving as a kind of 'electronic activist', in ways that would be flagged-up if a human tried to do similarly.
