I know there are some good constituency MPs, but we never hear about them. Probably too busy helping people who may or may not have voted for them.

But always remember hearing about one (quite left) Labour MP who resigned on the grounds that he didnt think that as an MP he had elected to be a social worker for his constituents.

Not thinking that maybe as an MP he could create the change that would mean constituents in run down boroughs wouldn't have to rely on social workers (or MPs doing their job) to be able to get on and live their lifes.
