“There are definitely <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/lpwH9/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/07/31/gender-critical-books-hidden-librarians-calderdale/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">bad actors at play who are radicalising people who are vulnerable. They are radicalising people who are too online.

“When you start tracing it back, the money always links back to fundamental Christian groups in America, Baptist groups, anti-abortion organisations.”

I am bitterly disappointed to report that I haven't seen any of this US far-right funding. I was hoping to have buggered off to Santa Barbara by now, and see out my days in an eight-bed mansion with its own swimming pool. How long am I going to have to wait?

Yeah about the money wims, erm.... So.... I arranged for it all to be dropped off at mine, I was going to distribute it, but.... Well... Then I saw this beauty on sale dead cheap and honestly it was just too good a deal to pass on.

I took a executive decision on behalf of all of us (totally forgot to let you all know, my bad!) that it would be useful for travelling up and down the country to let women speak events.

It's currently parked up at a random house, but I've got the keys if anyone wants to borrow it.

What was that? What did I do with the rest of the money? I...babble babble, sorry can't hear you over the private jet engine noise. Look I'll speak to you later OK I should be landing in Santa Barbara in a few hours.

Mhairi Black's comments make no sense. If the threat from these evil 50 year old women is so bad why are you leaving Parliament? Why abandon the fight? Especially when you get paid 80,000 grand to do it. Yes Parliament is an alienating place. Yet for a hundred years a whole bunch of women managed to do their jobs, changed the UK, because they thought it was important.

The TRAs are not doing well in their representation if Mahari can't be bothered to do more than make snide comments. One notes there is no sign of Jo Cherry, Rosie and others giving up in their fight for women's rights despite the rubbish they endure.

She's getting out before the SNP ship fully capsizes. Expect a rout in 2024. Starmer's majority will block out the sun.

It's always fun to see which demographic groups various political parties believe they can freely ridicule or insult or describe based on false generalisations.

When I was more innocent I thought that only the racist-sexist-classist right fringe did this freely, but it's now perfectly acceptable for progressives to be openly misogynistic and ageist, as long as they limit their misogyny and ageism to only some types of women.

It's still falsely generalising from some individuals' behaviour to millions of people in a particular demographic group, which makes it regressive, not progressive.

Remember, the Right are quite happy in being nasty doing stuff. But the Left, are...collegiate, supportive, raising up the powerless.
Once you put that on your t-shirt, your kindness has a lot of power.

And if a previously supported group needs to budge up and move over to make the space bigger for a minority who's life has been Hell and who's members are all on the verge of suicide, especially the children, well then there's no argument from the Left...they will be prioritised.

I honestly don’t understand how voters make the decision to vote in a 20 year old as Black was initially.

I think it had more to do with her being SNP than a personal endorsement. The SNP went from 6 MPs in 2010 to 56 in the 2015 election out of a total of 59 Scottish seats in the HoC.

She was the great new hope for Scottish politics. Stirring, passionate, apparently committed, she made at least one speech that was inspiring. I had high hopes for her.

I'm absolutely shocked and gutted at what she's become. I'm embarrassed for Scotland on her behalf. She's supposed to be representing her constituents, and instead she's making up ridiculous conspiracy theories, talking absolute mince, and using slurs and insults that a school child would find cringeworthy. It's gross, stupid, and inflammatory.

Damn it, Scotland was looking so hopeful and so exciting. We were going to be a great wee country. And I'm actually ashamed at the state of our politics right now.
