'A female-only lesbian advocacy group in France was excluded from their local Pride parade on the basis that they did not allow the membership of trans-identified males. Femmes Entre Elles was labeled “transphobic” for restricting its advocacy to issues faced by women.
Femmes Entre Elles, which translates to “Women Among Themselves,” is a single-sex association for lesbian and bisexual women that has operated for over 30 years. It has been involved in campaigns to support women’s sex-based rights and the rights of lesbian women.
But on May 27, the group was informed via email that they were not welcome to participate in the annual Pride march in Rennes'

As ArabellaScott and others have pointed out, we have always met up in private. The whole point of Pride, however, was that we were finally supposed to be able to meet in public, in effect to reclaim the public space for Gays and Lesbians just as Women had begun to do at the start of the century. The gradual assimilation of Gay politics and even Feminism into Queer Theory and Trans Ideology is beginning to operate like a kind of urinary leash for Lesbians, destroying all of the spaces where we could safely meet. The loss of these spaces is bad enough, but the loss of Pride as a symbol of possibility and validation is almost worse.

Well, yes, quite.

Pride has been very successful for men.

I don't see it has achieved the same for women.

Pride is no longer something that lesbian women feel part of and indeed these days would only attend to protest. In the city near where I live we are given strict instructions about who can be included and who cannot. More locally, some workshops aimed at teachers have been totally about trans children in schools. And a small social space advertised their pride event as a chance to compete in supposedly empowering high heels, and celebrate fetish and kink. Of course we lesbians have to protest at the forced teaming and show that we can never again join in and celebrate our own sexuality under the all so inclusive banner. I would always turn out for a lesbian strength march though. Anyone remember the London ones in the eighties? And the Leeds one a few years ago? Now they were what I would call empowering.

CompleteGinasaur · 23/06/2023 10:06

Was at the Leeds Lesbian Strength too, RamblingNameChanger. Wasn't it absolutely great!

Ramblingnamechanger · 23/06/2023 10:15

CompleteGinasaur yes! Confirmed my belief that by having our own events we can take back the power , and define our own terms. So glad that now lesbians and women are meeting up, even if underground . Hoping that younger women are able to find the strength in women only spaces for themselves, contrary to what we are told, that there are so many lesbians who support the tra narrative.

This is key; Lesbians, women, are forging our own groups, networks and marches.
I agree with @ArabeIIaScott that Pride did nothing for women; gay men ruled. And now they're kicking us out for not being sufficiently compliant to the 'new women; the ones with dicks' (love Ricky Gervais)

Our only way back as Lesbians is to go it alone, be independent; it's why I joined
"Get the L Out"
We can join one other group; Women.

Absolutely

didnt MNHQ delete someone recently for derailing a thread

and no, women on FWR have been told off many many times for ‘derailing’ when generally they have taken evasive action against derailers

Some of the lesbians involved were attacked - pelted with eggs - in 2021.

'The women, many of whom were survivors of the sex trade, soon found themselves swarmed and outnumbered by trans activists who called them “SWERFs,” for Sex Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminist, and shouted “no feminism without whores.”
At the base of the monument located at the center of the Place de la République, trans activists spray painted a menacing message: “Save a trans person, kill a TERF.”'

I remember when this was reported at the time and we had a poster on here one of those on the GI/TWAW side like certain posters on here trying to whitewash and completely dismiss what had happened, the twisting and excuses were enlightening to say the least.

The only conclusion is that violence from the TWAW side is not only condoned but enthusiastically supported along with all the seriously questionable people on that side.

I will take NO lectures from those posters nor will I give any credence to their mutterings.

ArabeIIaScott · 24/06/2023 15:57

This is from Dublin Pride (which is on today).

They've literally airbrushed over LGB history, replacing a poster from a historic photograph of the first Dublin Pride in 1983 with a photoshopped sign that says 'Trans Rights are Human Rights'.

I am actually shocked at this.

ArabeIIaScott I feel like this needs its own thread so more people on here are aware - that's appalling.

LonginesPrime · 24/06/2023 16:23

Oops sorry - I see there already is a separate thread on that so never mind!

ArabeIIaScott · 24/06/2023 16:30

There is? Ah, thanks, I will go and look.

I'm not the least bit surprised the TRAs totally removed butch Lesbian Storme DeLarverie who started the Stonewall Inn riots and replaced her with gay drag king Marsha Johnson , transing him too.
They love to rewrite Lesbian and Gay history.
They're liars and misogynists.

Norway 5.4 million
Finland 5.4 million
New Zealand 5.1 million

Three countries with 1/14th of the population of the UK.

I'm wondering why we are being compared with these tiny remote countries?

And also: legislation has been snuck in by stealth and piggybacking on rights for homosexuals.

Example: Norway has a suggestion for legislation to ‘ban conversion therapy for homosexuals and those with different gender identities, under 16 years’

which is horrifying when you understand what it means in real terms regarding affirmation, pronouns, puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones and surgeries for the children covered by the ‘and those with different gender identities’.

For most people it just means be kind, not that you’ll be jailed if you don’t let John (6’8’’) be June and call him she whilst he pummels all competition in a chosen girls sport.

A ban against conversion therapy for homosexuals- yes please.
A ban on questioning whether Tara, 9 years old, is really Kevin, watchful waiting, access to neutral talking services - no Thank you.

But people have NOT been told what this actually entails, and when they do find out they are NOT accepting this mangling of the language, the curtailing of our freedom of speech and the blatant lies about biology.

The question of men in women’s sport has alerted many to the issue.
